Literacy task - Story writing – Tiny Dragon
• Imagine you discover this tiny dragon.
• Where is it from?
• Why is it so small?
• Are there more like him?
• Where does he live?
• How will you look after it?
• Will you keep it a secret or tell someone?
• What is it called?
• Is it magic? What magic can it do?
• I like to imagine that it is a small dragon which you can keep in your pocket but when you need
it to, it can grow huge so that you can ride it.
Task: Write a short story about what happens when you or your character goes inside. What
adventure or mystery unfolds?
Mild: Have a clear beginning, middle and end. Use some WOW words.
Spicy: Have a clear beginning, middle and end. Use some WOW words. Think about using
adjectives to create a strong image in your head.
Hot: Remember how a story is structured; introduction, build up, problem, resolution and
