• Sellafield Ltd has a number of Strategic Alliances, Enabling Frameworks and contracts that support delivery of operations,decommisioning and asset care work
• Each Alliance, Framework and contract has a set of contractors to perform the work
• Each contractor has its own supply chain of contractors
• This document maps the vertical supply chain for delivery of work at Sellafield

Framework (EIF)
Infrastructure Strategic Alliance (ISA)
Design Services Alliance (DSA)
The DSA provides Engineering, Design and Safety Case Assessment services such as: • Delivery of packaged work scope including full design and safety case lifecycle service including provision of design development through test rigs • Integrated teams and collaborative working environment based on long-term relationships
This is a 15 year contract (5+5+5) ending in March 2027
Enabling Innovation Framework (EIF)
EIF Tranche 1 Suppliers
Tranche 2 contracted to be launched January 2015 with a 4 year duration, Tranche 1 extended until this time.
Established to reduce site risks presented by the condition of Infrastructure Assets by bringing in industry best practice to the challenges of improving Sellafield Ltd’s ageing infrastructure. The ISA manages an agreed programme delivering the full lifecycle of the projects and asset care tasks across Infrastructure, primarily within utilities.
This is a 15 year contract ending in December 2027
Infrastructure Strategic Alliance (ISA)
Enabling Frameworks
The Access and Insulation contract is an NDA estate-wide contract for the site-wide provision access solutions.
In addition, the contract includes the provision of an insulation, asbestos removal and asbestos surveying service
This is a 6 year contract ending in 2019
Access and Insulation
Site wide provision of industrial gases by BOC Ltd. Scope includes bulk vessel maintenance, delivery and supply of gas cylinders, bulk material delivery, and maintenance and testing of transportable pressure vessels.
This is a 4 year contract ending in 2016
Industrial Gases
Bureau Veritas undertake site wide independent statutory inspections on pressure systems, lifting appliances and lifting equipment.
This is a 4 year contract ending March 2015
Statutory Inspections
Examination, Inspection, Testing, analysis and technical support to maintenance and asset care of the Authority’s civil assets and professional support
This is a 4 year contract ending March 2016
Civil Inspections
• The Machining and Fabrication contract supplements the services offered by Sellafield Construction Services.
This is a 4 year contract ending May 2015

Supply contracts with a number of contractors to provide materials, equipment, parts and consumables.

Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO)
The SWAC maintenance contract supports general minor maintenance activities, jobs and tasks across site, typically with a maximum value of £100-200k.
Covering: Civil Works, E&I, Mechanical, Design, Mobile Cranes & Rigging & Lifting Equipment Hire - Plant Hire
This is a 4 year contract ending in March 2016
Site Wide Asset Care (SWAC)
Other Delivery Routes
Provide measurement and test equipment calibration services. There is an on site capability which can process items within its facility. Some specialist equipment may have to be sent off site to specialist subcontractors. The on site facility can normally turn around equipment within 12 working days; items sent off site will depend on the specific equipment.
This is a 12 year contract with a forecast end in March 2022

Decommissioning Framework Agreement Two (DFA 2)
This is a 4 year contract ending in March 2015
The MDSW framework agreement was awarded for provision of civil works, E&I and mechanical works in support of operations and maintenance across site.
The MDSW contract typically works on minor projects, jobs and tasks. Works value would typically commence at £30k with no upper limit.
This is a 4 year contract forecast to end in January 2017
