Strathalbyn Racing Club offers a range of hospitality packages for corporate functions and social occasions throughout the racing season.

Located only 45kms south east of Adelaide, just off the South Eastern Freeway and only 20 minutes from Mount Barker, the boutique Strathalbyn Racecourse is one of South Australia’s best kept secrets for corporate and social entertainment.

For the second-tier events, the Green and Burgundy rooms are available with prior notice. We can also discuss marquee requirements should you wish to take a large group to the track on one of these days.

Hospitality packages sell quickly at our feature events so be sure to book early and secure your location for a great day at the races.

LANGHORNE CREEK VIGNERONS’ RACE DAY

Sunday 17 November 2013 Celebrating 20 years

Experience the fun and excitement of a great day at the races in a track side marquee, in the gorgeous dining room or on the well manicured lawns.

Langhorne Creek Vignerons’ Race Day is the perfect event to entertain clients, suppliers and key stakeholders or to reward your hard working staff. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to gather a group of family and friends and enjoy a relaxing day out at the races.

One of the most popular Sunday racing events on the calendar, the atmosphere is electric with live music from ‘The Happy Leonards’, gourmet food and superb Langhorne Creek branded wines combined with the thrill of live racing.

Eight of your favourite Langhorne Creek wineries will be featured in a designated wine area, offering wine tasting and sales by the bottle or the glass. Commemorative glasses are also available for purchase.

PERRI CUTTEN STRATHALBYN CUP

The Strathalbyn Cup is undoubtedly one of South Australia’s most glamorous provincial cups, where the city and the country meet.

Our celebrated Summer cup features first class racing action on the track, matching the entertainment off the course. Strathalbyn Cup is the perfect day for the fashion conscious and the racing purist, with quality racing, fashion parades by leading designers and the style and glamour of Fashions on the Field.

Once again, the Strathalbyn Cup will be an automatic qualifying heat of Fashion at The Races with the best dressed racegoer on the day securing a spot in the State Final where a trip for two to Paris is up for grabs (see page 10 for more details)

Racing commences around noon, but the gates open at 9.30am allowing early birds to secure a prime position and soak up the atmosphere of a day at the races.

INTRODUCING THE EDEN MARQUEE $180 per person

To coincide with the 20th year of The Vignerons’ Race Day, Thoroughbred Racing South Australia are bringing the exclusive Eden Marquee to Strathalbyn.

Giovanni Ristorante Head Chef Marcus McCreight and his team have developed a sumptuous menu showcasing the very best local produce of Langhorne Creek and surrounding regions.

Premium wines by Langhorne Creek Vignerons will be served throughout the day. Each wine will be selected to match a dish. Lion Nathan beer will keep even the thirstiest punter happy.

Package includes:

• Race entry and a race book

• Grazing menu , gourmet pizzas and sweet temptations from Giovanni’s Restaurant

• Langhorne Creek wines and Lion Nathan beers for the duration of the day

• Live acoustic music

• A private lawn area with premium track side viewing

The Green Room offers hospitality to guests wishing to celebrate their day at the races in style. Offering fantastic views of the racecourse with full glass frontage, The Green Room allows you to capture all the excitement and atmosphere of your track side location.

• a sensational three course a la carte luncheon designed by our head chef

• beverages including premium beer, wines, and soft drinks served from midday until the start of the last race (spirits available for purchase)

• racecourse admission and race book for each guest

THE CORPORATE BURGUNDY ROOM

$100 per person

The Corporate Burgundy Room is a great hospitality option right in the heart of all the action. Located on the ground level of the members’ enclosure, The Corporate Burgundy Room opens out into a private fenced area opposite the home straight and adjacent to the mounting yard.

• Private track side air conditioned room

• Four hour finger food package with service staff

• Beverages including premium beer, wines, and soft drinks served from midday until the start of the last race (spirits available for purchase)

BBQ Buffet Lunch & Beverage Marquee Package

$135 per person

A syndicated marquee that provides protection from the sun and a chance to relax with friends. The gourmet BBQ buffet is the perfect dining style for those who want a sit-down lunch but don’t want to be hindered by formal service. Great for social clubs or corporate networking.

Package includes:

• Exclusive furnished marquee with ample seating

• Gourmet BBQ buffet lunch by Finns Fine Foods

• Fully staffed bar centrally located inside your marquee serving beverages from midday until the start of the last race

$200 per table (six guests per package)

Reserve your favourite track side location and pre-purchase a ‘Picnic at the Races’ Reserved Outdoor Seating Package. The racetrack staff take huge pride in the presentation of the gardens and roses at Strathalbyn earning it the moniker of ‘The Flemington of the South’

The package provides attendees with a great place to relax in the shade all day.

If you’ve got 12 people, it’s simple, just book two packages.

FASHION AT THE RACES

The Races have long been synonymous with stunning fashions. The Perri Cutten Strathalbyn Cup holds added significance in the fashion stakes with the event featuring as an automatic qualifying heat of the statewide Fashion at The Races competition searching for South Australia’s most stylish racegoer.

The lucky winner of Strathalbyn Cup’s Fashion on the Field will progress to the Fashion at The Races State Final at Morphettville in April 2014, where they’ll be treated to hospitality at Schweppes Oaks Day and two nights accommodation at the Oaks Plaza Pier Glenelg.

Up for grabs in the final is a LUXURY HOLIDAY TO PARIS FOR TWO PEOPLE including business class flights and 5 star accommodation. The runner-up will enjoy a $5,000 shopping spree on King William Road, Hyde Park.
