Dear all, I am very proud to introduce the new collection “The Series”. It was not so long ago since we have launched the first eBook, including the photo-graphic work of the 10 administrators, who at that time were cooperating in the “WePhoto” group. Sin-ce then, we have published 21 eBooks and the Spe-cial edition “Calendar 2015” and now two Calen-dars 2016.

This new collection – The Series - is made of diffe-rent eBooks, each one (or more than one if requi-red) related to a specific photographic theme, in-cluding the artworks of several authors from Italy and abroad. This is the Third eBook of the second line of this new collection and has been dedicated to Street Photography.

STREET

STREET

This name defines a "photographic style" that takes the life in an environ-ment. Men, but also animals, in an urban environment, but also on the beach, in the mountains, in various places that are fixed with their contents of Huma-nity and / or animality. Yet this title "STREET"fails to explain the many possib-le interpretations.

In the following pictures you will have an overview of how each author, so dif-ferently, manages to give shape, structure and light in this genre.

The passion for photography began at age of fifteen, with a “Finetta” by my Father. no Exposimeter or any other kind of automatism! at eighteen explodes toward the purchase of an used Nikon F2 Photomic. While studying psychology, I be-gan the professional activity by purchasing an Optical Bench (Sinar P) for photography like “Still Life” in the studio. The call to military service (at that time required) interrupts that beginning career and my university studies. The Passion, af-ter many adventures, is still continuing, with a Canon Eos 550D. I Do not focus on a particular genre, I love watching and, if attracted by some subject (minimal, landscape, street, or whatever), I shoot. I like to develop my images with Lightroom and some filters. As once in the darkroom, now I enjoy trying that particular effect that let me in, in some way, in a different world.

Photography is my passion and landscapes are my first love. I started taking pictures during a travel in Canada when I was 14. I’ve been attracted by the sunset on Huron Lake, then every evening I was in the water with my father’s camera. I’ve been lucky enough to live and work in cities like Venice and Rome for a few years and there my passion has grown continuously.I like every kind of photography. Shooting is so-mething that makes me feel good.

I am a street photographer living in the Rotterdam area. What street photography exactly is, I cannot define. I just like photographing persons on the streets that otherwise proba-bly won’t be noticed or will be forgotten like most of us.

By going at distances of sometimes less than one foot, my subjects fill the frame completely, but still with a good sense of the surroundings they are moving around in because of the wideness of the lenses I use. The intended distortion of a fisheye lens makes that framing possible. We as humans tend to think we’re very important, but the opposite is true. Within the universe we are not that significant and that is the controversy within my frames by displaying my subjects in an unusual way.

“Among the many ways to combat anything, one of the best is to take photographs, an activity that should be taught to children early because it requi-res discipline, aesthetic education, good eye and steady fingers.”Julio Cortazar.

I'm from Lisbon, Portugal. My interest in photo-graphy started very young. I interrupted to restart five years ago. I tried various photographic styles and I stood in street photography with which I iden-tify myself, after all street starts at my door.

Centuries ago I received my

diploma in arts.

Actually I come from painting and you guys might see it

in my photos.

At that time we spent many nights in the darkroom. My

first good camera was an Olympus OM1.

After my studies I worked for the biggest and most popu-

lar exhibitions in the world.

That is why I know many of the well known photo-

graphers personally. : From Fischli  & Weiss, Gerhard

Richter, Bernd and Hilla Becher to Jeff Wall.

Nevertheless I do not work for art anymore. Just for fun.

Undemanding.

Art is not that important, just open your eyes in every day

life, there is enough to discover.

My name is Simona Buffelli, Norma Bbates on Facebook, borned in south of Italy I became a teacher with passion for photography and travel. I start shoo-ting in 2005 focusing on analogic photography and darkroom print. Digital photography followed. Personally, the need of taking pictures come from my desire of stopping time and live a indelible trace of it. I also believe that pho-tography evaluate reality the way it is plus the photographer point of view. That's why it can constantly create new visions and world representations.

Here is where photography fascination lie.

I love seascapes and the historic center of my city. So describe me: "His passion for photography is all-encompassing. He gets up early in the morning and makes a survey of what we can be back in the city, on the waterfront, at the beach. If you look you have the impression that measures if the lights are right, if you have an expression, a movement of the soul, it's worth fixing on film. He travels in his ego, director and psychologist, tells the story of a self without complications, where they are involved cats, landscapes and corpo-real realities that are content of the pleasures of a ride and dell'abbronzatu-ra natural and exhibited in dreamlike wanderings”
