At Vicksburg Family Development it is our purpose to provide parents with the knowledge, skills, and support necessary to promote positive outcomes for their children and themselves.

Children and youth, ages 10-17, access expanded learning opportunities to gain the social and emotional competencies that contribute to academic achievement.

Youth in this program learn how to make positive life choices, the ability to compromise and adapt to changing situations, and gain important life skills.

Our Goal: School-age children and young people gain life skills and developmental milestones that ultimately lead to success in college/workforce training, career

and life.

First time parents receive hands on tips from a Certified

Childbirth Educator about prenatal nutrition and labor and

delivery concerns. New parents receive one-on-

one support to nurture healthy development and gain the skills

to help build a steady foundation

Child Care is provided during all parent sessions.

Our Goal: Children are born healthy and have the social, emotional and developmental

support needed to thrive in the foundational years and arrive

ready for school success.

Healthy Beginnings Prepared Youth

Thriving Adults and Families Parents and caregivers gain the

tools and understanding they need to provide the most effective early learning and developmental support for their children.

Provides parents and caregivers new skills to see their children thrive in everyday life.

Our Goal: Educate and support parents to raise their children in emotionally healthy ways so that their children can thrive personally, socially and academically.
