Employer DirectoryThe College produces an annual hard copyand online listing of employers interested inour students. The directory is distributed toall students and faculty, and is publishedeach calendar year.

WEDnetPAPennsylvania Highlands is a managingprogram partner with the PennsylvaniaDepartment of Community & EconomicDevelopment of the Workforce & EconomicDevelopment Network (WEDnetPA) program.We are the primary business and industrycontact in the Southern Alleghenies Region forWEDnetPA.

The mission of WEDnetPA is to "strengthen thebusiness environment of the Commonwealthof Pennsylvania by providing a trainingnetwork that is responsive to employer'sworkforce development needs." WEDnetPAwas created by the Commonwealth ofPennsylvania to assist employers with the costof training their employees that are engagedin high-priority occupations.

Companies can obtain funding per employeefor Essential Skills training and AdvancedTechnology training for eligible employees. TheEssential Skills and Advanced Technologytraining programs are available to qualifiedPennsylvania companies and out-of-statebusinesses relocating to the state.

Essential Skills training activi ties are defined asthose that directly improve the essential jobskills required for the employee's currentposition. Advanced Technology trainingcomprises job functions related to automationin manufacturing processes; research anddevelopment resulting in the use and transferof science and technology; anddevelopment, implementation, maintenanceand/or automation of complex systems,processes and procedures.
