Strengths and Weaknesses For my first edit, I added a greyscale effect. I think this looks great and gives a toned down and dramatic look to the shot. The subject is injured and the darkness reflects the situation. A weakness would be that although the photo is good - it isnʼt very suitable for the cover of a childrenʼs toy, due to the injury and the colour of the photo. For my second edit, I enhanced the colours of the LEGO in the photograph. I believe this adds to the photo and the vibrance of colour would make it a great photograph for the box of a LEGO product. It appeals to children. The composition and set up of the shot, adds excitement and makes the image interesting - these are both traits of an image that would appeal to children.

For this image, I added a sponge filter. I like the effect that this gives, as it drops some of the detail from the image. The composition is also appealing because the character is interacting with the household environment. The only weakness I can think of with this image, is that the lack of detail isnʼt very desirable for LEGO. If theyʼve put all the effort into adding detail to the LEGO men, then theyʼre going to want that detail on the box art.

The last image I edited was just a crop. This is obviously a simple edit, but itʼs added a lot to the image. We can see the detail on the police jacket, and the character is looking right at you - perfect for a box cover. The only weakness that LEGO might have with this image, is that their business tries to deter children from military games. The gun in this shot does the opposite. This image could be used on the back of the packaging instead.
