Student Council Open newstudent recreation area.

The student council indicated in

December that they would like more

seating areas for students around school.

Work was completed this week on the

first area, opened by council member

Georgia Cavanagh this week.

Work has not stopped there. Additional

seating is being installed alongside the

Atrium and the garden behind the English

block has been restored and upgraded for

students to use.

Work to enclose and restore the garden at

the front of school to its former glory will

begin next week . This garden will be

available for KS4 students to use after

Spring break. The pedestrian area outside

reception will also get a facelift over

Sprin Break.

Litter dropped by students spoiling school

Despite the significant investment being made to

upgrade your facilities at your request, the amount

of litter being dropped and left inside and outside

school is becoming an issue. Food is not permitted

to be eaten outside the dining room or Atrium. The

dining room team are investigating a trial system

after Easter where packaging is removed from all

food when served and served on plates after Spring

Break.

The easy thing to do is to follow the school rule of

eating in the designated areas or doing what Sophia

was captured doing this week and putting rubbish

in the 21 bins around school site. This is your

school. Keep it tidy. Throw rubbish in bins!
