Material profile
Project conversion is sometimes necessary to help a client
leverage cost savings by switching to the Chinese fabrication
standard. It is not “us” trying to change “your” engineering. The
conversion is a value-added process where supply engineering
resources to re-model your project and make new connection
designs before detailing. Conversion is an important part in the
outsourcing /co-sourcing model that attracts most engineering
companies who wish to have a fabrication partner in Asia.
Advantages of converting the project are:
• Lower Procurement Costs
• Faster MTO and ABM
• Earlier Material Procurement
• More Hot-Rolled Long Sections
• Less Built-Up Steel Sections
• Less Stock (Inventory) Volume
• Sequential Delivery (IN & OUT)
• Lower Initial Deposits
• Better Steel Quality Control

ProFAB Two Main Coating Partners
Class SP10Sa 2.0 or Sa 2.5
Juton & International are our two main suppliers for coating.
➢ Zinc Rich Epoxy Primer➢ Epoxy mid coat➢ Polyurethane top
If Hot dip galvanizing (HDG) required, we will work with our sub-vender following AS/NZ 4680 (80um), ASTM A123 or other equivalent standard
SP 10 / NACE 2 / Sa 2.5 (Near White Blast Cleaning)
➢ Loosely-adhering material: 0%➢ Tightly-adhering material: 0%
In this method, all oil, grease, dirt, mill scale, rust, corrosion productshave been completely removed from the surface by abrasive blasting, except for very light shadows, streaks or slight discolorations caused by rust stain, mill scale oxides.
➢ Method
A nicely packed skid showing intermediary and main banding, double cable clamps on lashings, corner protection, and a low center of gravity.
➢ Space Efficiency
Stagger or oppose similar odd shapes to save space to ensure a reasonable loading weight.
➢ Protection
Intermediary banding and extra corner protection.
Wood will be selected that can effectively separate steel members while minimizing load height and the potential for shifting during transportation.
➢ Identification
Metal tag (stamp) identifying members will be secure and easily located.

Pushing
➢ Lift the whole shipping rack with two overhead cranes using ropes.
➢ Duo to the nature of various type of steelworks . We use 40 HQ(GP) container, OT (open top) container, or Bulk vessel for our logistic use.
➢ Driving cranes and pull the rack with safety ropes slightly, to the edge of the container truck
➢ Lay down one end into the container and use forklift to push the rack into the container.
➢ The Inspection and Test Plan (some times referred to as a Quality Plan and or an ITP) will communicate applicable activities pertaining to fabrication and testing requirements. It is also is used to convey specific Witness and Hold Points where there will be involvement from outside sources such as 3rd party Inspectors, Authorized Inspectors (such as BV or TUV, SGS Engineering Services) and Clients.
➢ Prior to the start of construction and or fabrication, the manufacturer is required to develop an ITP or Quality Plan. The ITP identifies all the checks, examinations and tests required by code, applicable specifications and by the registered design, that are to be completed during the fabrication.

Project: Swanston Square Wintergarden
Owner/Builder: Grocon/Probuild & Aurecon
Location: Melbourne, Australia
100 tons of Architectural
The project is more than a landmark building in CBD Melbourne which mix retail, commercial offices and residential apartments together.
Laser cutting for all plates and fully laid down on ground as vertical portal for fabrication. Countersunk holes were drilled to ensure the perfect surface. The members were filled by automotive body fillers to ensure the glossy and shiny surface of steel.
Swanston Square with its spectacular covered winter garden new laneways will create a unique Melbourne experience

Experience
Project: New Greenfield Crushing Quarry Plant
Owner/Builder: Barro Group/Brightwater Engineers
Location: Wyndham Vale, VIC Australia
1300 tons of conveyor, chutes, platform.
The project is quarry facility including conveyors, feeder chutes, hoppers, handrail, stairs & ladders and platforms.
To meet the increasing demand for aggregates in Wyndhamvale, Barro decided to build this new fixed plant.
In total, 3,960 fabrication man-hours produced over 1300 tons of structural steel and included 41 conveyors with a combined length of 1.6 kilometers.
The fabrication methodology was designed to be readily movable, with bolted rather than welded assemblies. This allowed Barro to have the plant dismantled in the future for relocation and reconstruction elsewhere
➢ Mining Conveyor
Project: Holcim TIMARU terminal cement plant
Owner/Builder: Holcim Cement/Downer Group
Location: Auckland, New Zealand
200 tons of Beam, Columns, Stair and platform.
The project is the Truck Load Out (TLO) for Holcim
Cement Terminal project at Timaru port.
the facility includes a 30,000t storage dome and this
loading out facility.
The project is mainly about secondary structure that
requires a lot of manpower and welding work. We
supply grating, stairs and handrails as well.
This facility provides Holcim more access to the
major market and also provides distribution to the
whole of the South Island market as well as the lower
North Island.
➢ Industry
Project: CDU Trade Training Centre
Owner/Builder: Charles Darwin University/Lahey Construction
Location: Darwin, Australia
200 tons of columns & Beams.
The effective use of steel in both the building’s façade and interior reflects the industrial nature of the center.
Large scale steel columns interlacing throughout the building create functional spaces. Interior features also act as a play on the industrial aesthetic that tie the spaces back to their overarching structural base.
The project won the Australian Institute of Architecture Award for Sustainable Architecture at the 2016 Northern Territory Architecture Awards in Darwin.
