    Announcement for Grade 9Grade 9 students will be sitting their exams onTuesday 4th and the morning of Wednesday 5th ofMay. They do not have an exam on the Wednesdayafternoon and can therefore leave school after theirmorning exam (apart from any student who needs tomake up a missed exam). There will NOT be extrabuses organized for them, so they should make their

    own arrangements to leave. If grade 9 students wishto remain at school, they should work quietly in theHSMC.

    Battle of the Bands

    International School Manilas annualstudent-run Battle of the Bands(BOB) competition is in its eighth

    year. This years event has moreparticipants than ever before; 15Bands and 14 singers, and promisesto be the most entertaining BOByet! The Battle of the Bandscommittee is also working with thePhilippine Community Fund (PCF) toraise funds for the construction of10 permanent family homes for thepeople living in the Tondo on theSmokey Mountain dumpsite.Proceeds from ticket sales and ourraffle will go towards achieving this

    goal.

    Tickets for the April 17 and 18 areP250 each. These two nights are thepreliminary judging nights and willtake place on ISMs Middle SchoolField.

    Tickets for the night of April 24 are350 pesos. This night is the Finalnight of competition and will takeplace on ISMs Elementary Field.

    Note: Tickets this year are Baller-bands (rubber bracelets), andthere are 3 different colors: yellowfor day one, pink for day two, andblue for day three. Baller-Bandtickets are on sale at lunch at ISM.While Baller-Bands are limited innumber and only on sale duringschool hours, those who would liketo attend the event can alsopurchase entry into the event uponarrival each night.

    Summer Language Study / Home-stay / Travel Program to SpainThe International School Manila Modern Language Department is pleased to announce its 2010 Summer Language StudyHome-stay / Travel Program to Spain.The language course proposal is to have 4 class sessions (45 minutes each) of language and culture from Monday toFriday, 09.30 to 13.00 (with a break from 11.00 to 11.30). This gives the students 15 hours a week of intensive languag

    All Girls May Basketball Camp

    TheAlex Cabagnot Fundamentals Camp is made specific for GIRLS only. The camp will start on May 6, 13, 20 and 272010 and is open to all Grade 8 to 11 GIRLS.

    Welcome to Alex Cabagnot Fundamentals Camp- Coach Alex Cabagnot has established and works hand in hand with theEdge Basketball International Camp summer of 2008. The Edge Basketball International is in the United States located iWest Covina, California .

    Coach Alex Cabagnot offers you his fully-integrated program and training principles for strength and speed. Thimprovement of your athletic abilities will directly correlate to improved play on the basketball court. In order tobecome the best basketball player or team that you can become, strength training - along with speed, quicknessfootwork, core training, and more - is a must

    This camp is a unique program that will build and refine fundamentals in the various facets of the game of basketballImprove your offensive skills: shooting, guard play and post play. Perimeter and front court specifics, three-point anmedium range shooting techniques, playing without the ball, basic ball handling skills, creating your shot, scoring off thedribble and passing transition skills, defence and team play will be emphasized. Players will compete against each othe

    based on age, skill, and size, and all will benefit from being trained by Coach Alex Cabagnot.

    This camp will also teach players how to lead with intelligence, eliminate mistakes, develop positive habits of play, andgive their team the best chance to win.

    If you are a dedicated athlete who spends time thinking about improving and getting to another level of performancechances are you'll love the camp.

    The ISM Basketball, Soccer, Volleyballl, and Badminton Summer Sports Camps willstart on June 7 to 24, 2010. These camps are open to all ES/MS/HS ISM students only.

    Edge Basketball Camp Coach Cristian Gopez and Coach Alex Cabagnot has establishedthe Edge Basketball International Camp summer of 2008. The Edge Basketball International is in theUnited States located in West Covina, California . This summer camp session will include 10 days offundamental basketball and fun

    Asuncion Badminton Camp will be organized by the countries Rank 1 badminton playersKennie and Kennevic Asuncion.

    ISM Volleyball Camp will be conducted by Coach Thelma Barina, RP Womens VolleyballCoach

    ISM Soccer Camp will be made possible by our very own ISM soccer coaches.
