Practitioners & Stress ManagementThe stress epidemic is causing relationships to falter, businesses to falter, and health to suffer. Serious chronic disease has strong connections with ongoing stress. As a Practitioner you can be part of the Best Practice Solution!

What is this About?

Workplace and personal stress is gnawing at the fabric of society. Survey after survey demonstrates that conventional treatments for stress management are failing to provide a meaningful solution. A common thread is a lack of practitioners trained to proactively address the human capacity to effectively manage stress at the Primary stage; all too often the answer is seen to lie in expensive reactive or Tertiary stage which requires time off work and rehabilitation. Some programs are reaching into the Secondary or ameliorative stage which also involves costly workplace interventions. The Stress Management Institute® provides training to offer cost-effective techniques to prevent stress becoming a disabling human condition by supporting individuals to develop emotional reslience.

Your Vision in Stress Management:

As a Professional you are/will be in the perfect environment to offer a much needed service in the rapidly emerging field of proactive stress management and emotional resilience. Corporate stress management and emotional resilience programs are in high demand and offer greater value and return on corporate investment than simple workplace and ergonomic assessment. You will learn how to enhance your approach to caring for individuals with Best Practice approaches to proactively manage stress, be it personal or in the workplace. You will generate a client-base and provide care that has greater long-term effect and directly contributes to increased productivity.

Growing a Practice in New Directions:

Successful completion of the Certificate IV in Stress Management Practitioner or Certificate in Stress Management Facilitator (Assessed) will provide you with comprehensive skills to start a practice or shift your practice to a new level. Progressing to become a Stress Management Practitioner or Facilitator will reposition you in a crowded marketplace through quality tertiary learning that will identify you as an expert in this field. The SMI programs are professionally developed, Government approved and delivered in conjunction with a Registered Training Organisation. They are staged in a way that allows you to immediately practice what you are learning. All materials are provided within the program fees and you receive additional benefits including regular tutorials and personal coaching to ensure your success. You can now become the first in your market to be the ‘Stress Management Expert’.

What’s Involved?

The volume of learning required is over 1 or 2 years using our special customised online platform. You are also required to complete 20 half hour practical Stress Management coaching sessions with volunteer clients and students. You also receive personal coaching to facilitate and enhance your learning and practice.

This program helps professionals develop high-level skills to address the ‘stress’ question at the proactive or Primary and Secondary levels with a view to preventing progressions to expensive reactive levels and extend the beneficial services you provide to your clients.

As global leaders in stress management John & Judy are committed to sharing how to embrace stress as it takes a shocking toll on people’s lives, business and health. Learn from this very talented and highly experienced couple how to tap into energy resources that renew the body, mind and spirit to relieve the effects of damaging stress.

For many years Drs John and Judy have been teaching natural stress management techniques that really work. They will lead you out of stress and into clear calm using simple, sustainable and natural self-care tools and strategies. You will be amazed how easy and practical their techniques are and how you can apply them instantly so that your business, relationships and your life will be much easier and more rewarding.

In February 2010, the Hinwoods, after 20 years of highly successful coaching, mentoring and providing consulting services to allied healthcare practitioners in 11 countries, decided to sell their company. After a period of writing and publishing seven books and speaking on mindset, they founded ‘Stress to Strength’ and the ‘Stress Management Institute’ in 2013.

Both Drs John and Judy Hinwood are Fellows of the American Institute of Stress. John is a Fellow and Judy is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and they are both Fellows and Members of the Australasian College of Chiropractors. John is also a Fellow of the International College of Chiropractors. They have received humanitarian awards in both Australia and the United States and have received many other distinguished awards. They also have papers published in Academic Journals.

John is often referred to as ‘The Miracle Man’ and he is the author of the International Bestseller “You Can Expect A Miracle... The Book To Change Your Life”. Together with Judy they have published 13 other titles in the “You Can Expect A Miracle” series and practice management for healthcare practitioners. Four of John‘s books were on the Amazon Bestsellers list in 2015.

Judy is the author of the book “Stress to Strength... Mind Tools to Calm, Connect and Create” which is also available on Amazon in hard-copy and as a Kindle ebook.

Their experience as healthcare professionals by training, astonished parents of three adopted older Chilean children, sharing Judy’s journey as a cancer survivor for many years, and both as inspirational mentors and coaches, have given them an awesome array of tools for Stress to Strength success!

What Students are Saying About the Training...

Great Depth and Breadth of Material.

"The Stress to Strength Workshop and Practitioner Training is awesome! Great depth and breadth of material. Information that I have been able to implement into my own life immediately and watch the benefits. My practice has been reinvigorated and I am able to pass on skills and tools to others and watch the changes unfold".

Dr Marg Peck, Castlemaine, VIC, Australia

Stress is Good – When it is Managed!

“Drs. John and Judy Hinwood are well-placed to provide primary intervention in stress management to reduce the demand for expensive tertiary ‘repair’ by providing highly-crafted learning at the primary and secondary stages. The underlying concept is that when a person is provided with tools to understand and manage the stressors in their environment, then not only will their health and productivity increase, but it will be followed by significant reduction in the need for repair services. It is fair to conclude I am impressed. After experiencing the weekend training, I would have no hesitation, were I active in practice as opposed to now being retired, to follow this pathway and add a huge amount of richness to my skills base.”

Professor Phillip Ebrall, PhD, Diamond Creek, VIC, Australia

The Logical Brain Measures Outcomes.

“The Stress to Strength training has not only provided me with tools to deal with stress but has supported the development of an impenetrable positive mindset! My logical business brain would ordinarily dispel this type of content, however, the logical brain measures outcomes and the course delivers plenty. The tools gained are powerful and extremely useful. John and Judy’s philosophy is based on the power of language and visualisation – the underpinnings of change and learning organisations – which are present in all transactions, and begin with each individual through the power of the mind and through our thoughts. Tapping into mind or brain pathways makes for the opportunity of powerful outcomes. I would recommend their program on numerous levels to achieve many individual and business goals.”

Julia Krawitz, Training Manager, Police-Citizens Youth Clubs, QLD, Australia

Effective Tools and Strategies.

“The Stress to Strength Experience weekend provided me with some effective tools and strategies that I use for managing my stress and that I also now use to help my chiropractic practice members. The weekend was very much an ‘experience’ and I came away feeling more in control of my responses to stress. Thanks to John & Judy.” Dr Stuart Williams, Bundaberg, QLD, Australia

You Will Be Astounded by Your Own Progress.

“The Stress to Strength Experience not only provides multiple tools to manage stress, it provides you countless opportunities to implement and practice those tools with the guidance and help of qualified Stress Management Practitioners. What sets this apart is the phenomenal (and measurable) improvements we all made in such a short time. You’ll have the opportunity to gauge your current state of stress, well-being and where you are at in life. After putting the tools to use, you get the opportunity to measure your progress. To experience so many cognitive, behavioural and emotional changes in such a short space of time defies logic, but I could feel the immediate difference, it was real, and I had measured results to confirm it. It will change how you experience stress, and how you experience life.”

Joshua Knight, Organisational & Behavioural Change Management Consultant, Brisbane, Qld, Australia

I Now Have a Meaningful Purpose and Career.

“When I searched for a course that would teach me how to manage my stress and live a better quality life, I needed people who had based their teachings on personal experience rather than from a text book created by an impersonal RTO. Drs John and Judy Hinwood have conquered and survived many highs and lows in their own lives to be qualified as the type of coaches who will arm you with all the tools necessary to not only help you manage your own stress, but more importantly, teach you how to make a ‘shift’ from all levels and succeed in attaining the life you deserve. After 3 days of working on one of the course modules, I now have a meaningful purpose and career to look forward to instead of a job for the rest of my life.”

Rita Marshall, Launceston, TAS, Australia

The Trainers Are Amazing and Inspiring.

“Completing the Certificate IV in Stress Management Practitioner has provided me with a formal qualification, skills, tools and strategies that I can use as a Stress Management Practitioner. I also use these skills and technics in my current roll in the telecommunications industry. The coaching skills I have learnt assist me greatly in managing a team of colleges with their stress in the corporate environment. For some team members, their new stress management tools and strategies have assisted them in achieving their monthly target, which they had not done in years. The course content is second to none and the trainers are amazing and inspiring. I give the Certificate IV in Stress Management Practitioner a very high rating.”

Alex Paradisis, Customer Experience Executive, Vodaphone, Hobart, TAS, Australia

Insightful and Compassionate Teachers.

“We live in a world where stress is the great epidemic, insinuating its busy fingers into all aspects of our lives and health, robbing us of joy and creativity. Drs John and Judy are wise, insightful and compassionate teachers who, with great dedication and energy, have put together a truly staggering array of stress-related knowledge, tools and techniques. These are used alert us to the causes and symptoms of stress and to empower us to tackle stress head on, to subdue it and turn it to our advantage. I have learned so much on this course and I am endlessly grateful for their inspired teaching.”

Elizabeth Thuan, MA, Reiki Master/Teacher, Melbourne, VIC, Australia

Help and Support is Only a Phone Call or Email Away.

“If you are considering embarking on this course of study, I can only encourage you to do so. I have no history of formal study, and was quite wary of what I would find at the beginning. I shouldn’t have worried! The trainers, John and Judy Hinwood, have created a course that is in total alignment with their personal values, making it easy and stress-free. They’ve created a system of study, with guides, that have made it very easy for me to find the information I need. Whether you are studying online, or coming to the module weekends, John and Judy deliver the information in a very engaging way. Help and support is only a phone call or email away. The monthly webinars are also a great venue to ask questions and get more understanding of any topics I may be unclear of. I highly recommend this unique course to anyone who wants to bring more calm to the world! Thanks John and Judy!

Jacqueline Rose, Public Servant, Brisbane, Qld, Australia

Course Content is Excellent.

“As a time-limited executive studying by distance for the first time, I had concerns about an effective learning experience. The different time-zone worked in my favour, allowing me to interact with other students and course instructors at mutually convenient times. Course content is excellent, and I have already utilised this in my workplace, in programs I offer externally to other organisations, and my family acknowledge the personal benefits also. Throughout the program I have been fully supported by SMI, by email, telephone and webinar. It's a comprehensive and professional level of guidance and correction. I thoroughly recommend the program and SMI.”

Michael Massey, Global Director - Wellness Operations, Absolute World Group LLC, Phuket, Thailand

Deeper Conceptual Understanding.

“As a student of the Stress Management Institute, I have been fortunate to be not only trained by Dr. Judy Hinwood as a Stress Practitioner, but mentored in skills on communication, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, leadership and business. I am constantly amazed by her worldly knowledge and the depth of her experience that makes the educational process an all-encompassing experience. Her willingness to be transparent and honest allows for a deeper conceptual understanding of the learnings. Every interaction with Dr Judy is an experience to be valued and remembered.”

Barbara Clifford, Business Consultant, The Time Tamer, Alice Springs, NT, Australia

Such a Supportive Training.

“My participation in the Stress Management Practitioner training has given me so many tips and tools that are supporting me in my life, and in supporting others I am now interacting with. The meditations and visualizations are taught is such an easy manner and the results they produce, are really empowering and life changing. If you are thinking about enrolling in the course, just do it, you will be so happy you did.”

Sheldon Pearson, Administration Officer, Brisbane, Qld, Australia
