STUDYING TERM DATES DEADLINES Deadlines In order to begin or continue your studies you have to meet certain deadlines. The same applies for the payment respectively the remission/refund of the tuition fee/students' union fee. 1. EU-/EWR-citizens holding a school leaving certificate/university diploma from an EU-/EWR-country Personal admission to bachelor-, diploma- and teacher accreditation programmes* 17 Juni - 5 September 2013 Application for admission and personal admission to a master degree programme 17 June - 30 November 2013 Admission to a non-degree-programme (without a school leaving certificate) 7 January - 30 April 2013 Payment of the tuition fee/students' union fee** 17 June - 5 September 2013 Continuing your studies at the University of Vienna (in case you have paid at another Austrian university) 17 June - 30 November 2013 Co-registration (for students from other universities) 17 June - 30 November 2013 Taking a leave of absence 17 June - 5 September 2013 *for first-year-students, persons changing their degree programmes and persons restarting a degree programme at the University of Vienna **refering all new admissions to a bachelor-/diploma- or teacher accredition programme. In order to continue your studies you have to pay the tuition fee/students' union fee within the admission period (by the end of the extended admission period the latest) of each semester. 2. Remission/refund of the tuition fee

2.1. Applying for remission of the tuition fee

The application for remission for the summer semester has to be done until the 31st of March (of the current semester).

The application for the winter semester has to be done until the 31st of October (of the current semester).

In case of a negative decision, you have to pay the full amount within the admission period. In case you pay within the extended period of admission, the amount increasesby 10 %.

2.2. Applying for refund of the tuition fee

As of the summer semester 2004, applications for refunding the tuition fee can only be filed for the last semester respectively. For a fee paid in the winter semester youhave to apply for a refund until the following 31st of March, for a fee paid in the summer semester you have to apply for a refund until the following 30th of September.
