• The Student Counselling Centre at the University of Windsor provides free, confidential short-term counselling to registered students

• SCC also provides consultation and referral services for University of Windsor faculty and staff.

• Services are provided by Psychologists, a Clinical Therapist, a Registered Nurse, and Master's-level graduate students.

• Approximately 750 students seen for mental health services

• Over 3000 appointments• Over 200 of those appointments for students

presenting with a mental health crisis• Approximately 30% of students seen at intake

indicated suicidal thoughts

• VIP students also work on professional development and reflection activities as part of the program

• Students that complete all of the program requirements get a notation on their transcript and a certificate signed by the president.

• The Student Services Office is dedicated to ensuring that students have thebest possible experience at Windsor Law. We help law students navigatetheir legal education from Orientation to Graduation.

• We provide academic advising, support student groups, promote student lifeand community building activities, and act as the primary resource forstudents who are seeking to find balance in their law school experience.

• The Student Services Office helps students take advantage of theopportunities available and navigate any academic, personal, or healthchallenges that may arise as they pursue their legal education. We serve asa liaison between students and faculty or other administrators and advocatefor students and student organizations. We support student organizationsand their events and host many of our own.

• Confirm to student what you perceive the issue to be

• If referral is required, explain to the student why s/he is being referred

• Wherever possible, provide the student with the name of person you are referring them to
