We have students of all ages
participate such as:
Kevin My name is Kevin and I am 13 years old. I had to do service hours for my school and I
decided to do them for the City Mission. When I got there they gave me a tour; it is a
wonderful place for people to try to get their life back on track. The City Mission is in
constant need of many supplies. I decided to collect soap, which is something most people
take for granted. At first, I wasn’t sure I was going to get much, but then I thought to
have a donation party with my relatives. Everybody was so happy to give for those in
need. At first my grandmother only gave one bar of soap, but then she was so inspired
that she gave a package of ten. After that I still wanted to help out more so I called
friends then drove around to pick up soap. Even if people only give one or two bars it still
makes a difference. By the time I was done I had fifty bars of soap. This was a very easy
way to help people in need. Joey The Buffalo City Mission is a great place to donate clothes, food, and other necessities
many people need. I had a family party and told everyone to bring some of their clothes
so it could be given to those who need it. We bought pizza and wings and everyone had
such a great time. The party was such a success. We filled our whole trunk with bags of
clothes.
Going around your neighborhood is easy and gets you exercise. All you need is a friend or
adult and a bag to collect with.
Success!

Water for Water Water is a need we all have for physical life. You can do a fund raiser for the Mission by asking
for a dollar or two dollar donation for a bottle of water so that you can go and purchase cases of
water as a donation for the Mission. Put fliers out in your neighborhood, send messages via Face
book and Twitter email your friends and family, get a few friends to help and before you know it
you will have a great donation to bring to the mission.
