Step Two – Advertising
Distribute the posting to all administrators in AISD asking them to forward the posting to prospective employees/candidates.
Post the vacancy on related educational and job related websites as well as recruitment sites such as Education Week, TASA.net, Monster.com and LinkedIn.

Step Three – Review of Credentials
On-Line Application must contain the following:
1. Cover Letter
2. Resume
3. Transcripts
4. Certification Credentials (if applicable)
5. References (3) – one from current supervisor
Eligibility – The Office of Human Resources will review on-line applications and determine if candidates meet minimum requirements for the position.

Step Four – Screening Committee The Superintendent or his/her designee appoints the screening committee. The goal of the committee is to screen candidates who have expressed interest in the posted position and select 6 to 8 candidates for the interview committee. When screening for principal candidates, the committee is usually comprised of other principals who are currently sitting principals in the vertical team where the position is posted.
A representative from the Office of HR facilitates the screening and is there to provide information on the viable candidates.
