Our Ministry of Education
From the Generalitat de Catalunya there is a policy of linguistic inmersion of the Catalan language.
From the year 2005 the improvement of the competence in a foreign language of our students has become also one of the priorities.
Our past: Comenius and Pele projects In order to increase our students motivation in the
learning of a foreign language , to know the reality of other cultures and to improve their level of English we have participated in two Comenius Projects.
1998-2001 «Home from home. The way of life, history and culture». We worked with schools from England, France, The CZech Republic and Denmark.
2004-2007 «Our environment and the citizens compromise: the european teenagers are interested in their future». We worked withe schools from Norway, Poland and France.
THE CAMALEÓ PROJECTOur PELE project 2007-10 PELE. Experimental Project of Foreign Languages.
They last 3 years (money 2000 Euros/language assistant???)
Modality c . The aim is the improvement of the oral communicative competence with special emphasis on the oral production with the help of new technologies.
Modality a. CLIL Content and Language Integrated Learning.
Modality b. Working with projects.
THE CAMALEÓ PROJECT Christian was with us 12h/week. 1 h
of coordination with the tutor. Students of 3rd, 4th of ESO and
Batxillerato were the lucky ones because of their level of English to communicate.
We worked basically when the class was divided ( Hour B)
He was a great help for us with technology.
Activities Oral presentations (individual and in group)Discussions/Debates.Dialogues.TV programmes. We prepared a musical, Grease! Shakespeare’s adaptation of Romeo and
Juliet.
Format: blog, video recordings, voice recordings etc.
