Really, really hard
SudokuFill in the grid so that every row, column and coloured box contains ALL the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Bonus clue: which number should go in the circle: 5 or 2?
To make the chick’s body, blow up a balloon and cover it in papier mache. Make the papier mache mix by mixing the cold water and flour, then stirring in the boiling water. Let it cool down for a few minutes. Tear the newspaper into strips about 2cm wide, dip in the paste and cover half the balloon. Leave it to dry in a warm place and, when it is, add another layer of newspaper. You’ll need about five layers to make a sturdy chick.
1
When the papier mache is dry, carefully pop the balloon with a safety pin and paint it yellow.
2
This crazy animal is made from bits and pieces of five other creatures — can you work out what they are?

While the paint is drying, cut out a pair of feet from the orange card. When the paint is dry, glue these on to the biggest end of the chick’s body.
3
Very carefully, pierce a hole in the middle of the papier mache body to start making the chick’s mouth. Use the scissors to cut outwards and make a big mouth. A diamond shape is best.
4
Cut two strips of orange card and stick them around the mouth. Draw on a pair of eyes with black pen and, once dry, cover with a coat of PVA glue to make your chick look shiny.

1 Break your chocolate bars into small pieces and put them in a microwaveable bowl.
Ask an adult to put them in the microwave for two minutes, or until they have completely melted. The chocolate and bowl will be very hot so leave it to cool for five to 10 minutes once an adult has taken it out of the microwave.
2While you’re waiting for it to cool, cut a long strip of card 3cm wide. Make this strip
into a ring big enough to hold the egg upright (see photo to the right) and secure with sticky tape.
3Work out where you want the sweets to be on the face
4 The melted chocolate is going to be your glue — use a teaspoon to dab a bit on to
the egg where you want your sweet to stick. Once you’re finished, lie the egg down in the fridge for five minutes.
5While you wait, cut two feet from your card and use sticky tape to secure them to
the ring you made in step two.
6Once the edible glue has set, place the egg on the ring — your egg face
masterpiece is now ready to show off!
