Welcome to the Hilden style guide 2014/15In this year’s Style Guide you can expect to see inspiration from the hospitality industry, including some of the UK’s most stylish restaurants, hotels, bed and breakfasts and self catering establishments. Here we take inspiration from our Hilden Style Awards 2014 winners and finalists, highlighting the key interior design trends that will be fighting their way to the top over the next coming year. We’ll also give you hints and tips on how to incorporate these styles within your establishment, ensuring your property is a place lusted after.
So grab a notebook, jot down your favourite key elements and start working out how to use them to transform your establishment!
We love nothing more than swooning over sumptuous interiors and salivating over the delightful dishes that are on offer at so many stylish restaurants across the UK. It’s a well known fact going to a restaurant isn’t simply just about the food you’re receiving. Consumers expect an all round experience – from the moment they walk through the door, the lighting, colours, furniture, layout and to the way the food is presented... the list goes on.

A uniquely designed restaurant which is the UK’s first and only speciality Meatball café-bar! This newcomer only opened their doors in March this year and has already been voted for an array of awards. They offer a homely yet quirky dining environment where you can expect light fittings made from colanders and cheese graters, as well as daily playlists on the wall. The menu will not disappoint; with over 180 ways to enjoy meatballs, fish balls or veggie balls (as well as weekly specials) you will be spoilt for choice.

GauchoYou step into style when you visit Gaucho, an Argentinian restaurant that brings some of the best steaks to England. The fine dining choices here are varied with a wine list including over 100 bottles, plenty of ways to enjoy your steak and the choice of private dining options. The staff are truly knowledgeable in their meat too which adds a nice touch! With a strong black and white theme throughout, you can expect interiors including walls covered in cowhide, a futuristic bar area and impressive chandeliers.

This year we had three categories, reaching out to restaurants, hotels, bed and breakfasts and self-catering establishments to give them the recognition they deserve. We wanted to find establishments that make use of key trends and accentuate their own style with beautiful uses of interior design and stylish furniture. And that’s exactly what we found!
Hilden Style Awards 2014/15After the success of the awards over the past two years we are excited to build on them year on year. The Hilden Style awards are the perfect opportunity for accommodations across the UK to show off what makes them unique. These awards remind us that when we choose to book a table or a room it is not just for the basic function of eating or sleeping, but on the promise of a unique experience.
We are fully in favour of any awards which celebrate design chic, first-class style and innovative thinking in the hospitality industry and these accolades do just that. The industry is so exciting right now, with new quirky establishments popping up all over, and design being a key feature.
The Hilden Style Awards is great for scouting out some of the most stylish restaurants throughout the UK. With such a difficult decision this year I think the right choice has been made. The Fable boasts a quirky and inventive style, giving a playful experience to customers.
At DeskCentre we’re big on trends and style, that’s why it was such an honour to be able to be involved in the Hilden Style Awards. Looking through this year’s entries and seeing all the different trends and styles of each establishment has been an exciting process for us.
The Hilden Style Awards are a celebration of all kinds of establishment in the hospitality industry. This year really has seen such a high calibre of entries; it’s been a really tough decision for all our judges.
