My husband and I truly see the benefits of this school and the smaller class size. Nathan loves the time and attention his teacher, Mrs. Earhart, gives him. We have seen tremendous improvements in both his speech and writing skills. More importantly, we have seen his growth in God. While we spend significant time teaching him about God, FCS takes that foundation, grows it and expands upon it. We are so happy to have the opportunity to send him to FCS.” Robert & Mellisa S Current Preschool Parents The Preschool curriculum at FCS gave our daughter a positive and solid first educational experience. Faith Christian Preschool offers students a loving and nurturing environment in which to experience the joy of learning. Our goal is to provide academics to stimulate their minds, and the Word of God to fill their hearts and build their character. Our curriculum is Bible-based and designed to help young children develop spiritually, emotionally, socially, academically and physically. Our Preschool Curriculum

Bible: Worship songs, prayer, and Bible verses are part of our daily routine. Bible stories are presented as truth. A growing understanding of God’s love for us, God as the creator of all things, and Jesus as our friend and Savior, are emphasized.

Language: Our classroom is a language rich environment with songs, finger plays, books, story telling, role-playing, and children actively communicating with each other. Daily activities exposing children to letters and their sounds (phonics), recognizing and beginning to write their own name, listening skills, and following directions are developed.

Math: Counting, recognizing numbers 1-10, sorting and classifying, measuring, matching, patterning, and activities for one-to-one correspondence are part of our curriculum.

Science: Children explore God’s creation and use all of their senses to observe, question, experiment, compare, combine, make predictions, and test them out.

Art: Painting, drawing, coloring, molding clay, and creating through a variety of mediums is encouraged daily. The process of “discovering” during these activities is valued. Creating a longer attention span, impulse control, sense of accomplishment, and self-expression are goals in this area.

Social Skills: We encourage children to interact actively through group activities and one on one to expand their social skills. We encourage cooperation, taking turns, problem solving, show and tell, and peer interaction. This works to establish a sense of social responsibility, care and respect for self, others, and the Lord.

Motor Skills : Fine motor activities to develop eye-hand coordination, finger dexterity, and strength needed for future writing work is provided daily. Puzzles, play dough, lego's, pegs, beads, lacing, tracing, and sorting are some of the manipulatives used. Our fenced outside playground offers children opportunities for running, jumping, climbing, sliding, swinging, and balancing.
