Subject Matter Analysis

subject matter analysis defines the content that needs to be included in an instructional module/learning environment. Part of subject matter analysis is searching for optimal perspectives and knowledge.

• Literature reviews• Document examination (e.g., searching policy

and procedure manuals, SOPS, etc)• Interviews of superior performers• Interviews of experts (who may be outside of

the company)

• A literature review is an account of what has been published on a topic by accredited scholars and researchers

• Finding out about the policy and manual procedure about the subject matter.
