Sir, I am directed to refer to this Section’s letter of even number dated 25.02.2020 (copy enclosed) forwarding therewith a copy of the approved advertisement inviting applications for recruitment to the post of Vice Chairperson, NCTE. 2. The said advertisement was published by NCTE in Newspaper on 16th June, 2020 stating the last date of application as 30 days from the publication of the advertisement, therefore, the last date of application was 15th July, 2020. 3. Only Seven applications have been received so far for the post which are not sufficient for a transparent and fair selection process as the eligibility and completeness of the applications is yet to be ascertained. Moreover, due to the current scenario in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic processing of the application through proper channel will also require more time. 4. In view of the above it has been decided to extend the last date of application for another 30 days w.e.f. 16th July, 2020. 5. You are requested to publish the extended date for application for the post of Vice-Chairperson, NCTE on NCTE website and various leading newspapers as per the instructions contained in DoPT’s OM No.AB.14017/11/2004-Esst.(RR) dated 30.07.2007.
