While our Kabul office is closed and our staff are working from home, we remain active in maintaining our regular projects and supporting the national Covid-19 response. We are working closely with the Ministry of Education to develop resources including a comic about hand washing and prevention of virus spread, supports for kids and parents, and brainstorming distance education solutions that will work in Afghanistan’s context during this pandemic and beyond. Thanks to a new grant from the Chamandy Foundation, which you'll read about below, we will also provide psychological supports to students and teachers impacted by the trauma of these events.
