The Transition Readiness Program (TRP) provides resources to enable all separating service members and their families to make a successful transition from military to civilian life. They provide accurate and relevant information and assistance on career, employment, education and training benefits, determining health and life insurance requirements, financial planning, benefits of affiliating with United States Marine Corps, Reserves, and Veterans benefits and entitlements.

Job search training, personal improvement workshops, and individual counseling provided.

The center provides up-to-date resources to assist members in their job search as they transition from the military to the civilian lifestyle/workforce.

Attendees will learn how to achieve academic success, research and compare institutions, and finance higher education.

BOOTS-2-BUSINESS (2 DAY): 18 & 19 April, 0800-1600, RFSC13 & 14 June, 0800-1600, RFSCReligious & Family Services Center, 3019 Embry LoopThis two-day workshop is designed to help service members understand the basics of entrepreneurship and teach skills to succeed in business ownership. Participants will develop the initial components of a business feasibility plan.

PCS OCONUS: 19 April, 0900-1200, RFSC17 May, 0900-1200, RFSC28 June, 0900-1200, RFSC Religious & Family Services Center, 3019 Embry LoopThis workshop offers in depth information on administration, financial, shipping travel, medical screening, employment, EFMP (Exceptional Family Member Program) passports and sponsorship entitlements when executing permanent change of station orders to an overseas duty assignment, including Alaska and Hawaii.

10 STEPS TO FEDERAL JOB: 20 April, 0800-1200, RFSC18 May, 0800-1200, RFSC15 June, 0800-1200, RFSCReligious & Family Services Center, 3019 Embry LoopThis workshop helps attendees understand the federal hiring process and walks them through how to create an effective federal resume and a USA Jobs account.

FACE-TO-FACE NETWORKING: 1 May, 1000-1200, RFSC Religious & Family Services Center, 3019 Embry Loop This workshop will develop in-person networking skills. Topics include professional introduction, developing business rapport with casual.

DISABLED TRANSITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (DTAP): 2 May, 0900-1130, RFSC Religious & Family Services Center, 3019 Embry Loop This workshop will inform attendees about the Veterans Administration Vocational Rehabilitation Program, which provides services to eligible service members and veterans with service-connected disabilities to help them prepare for, obtain, and maintain suitable employment or achieve independence in daily living.

CAREER/TECHNICAL TRACK (2 DAY): 16 & 17 May , 0830-1630, VECVoluntary Education Center (VEC), 3088 Roan Street This workshop explains the aspects of Vocational/Technical Training. Attendees will learn about the top ten vocational careers, choosing a technical college,the admission process, and education funding available.

JOB SEARCH THROUGHSOCIAL MEDIA: 27 June , 0900-1200, RFSC Religious & Family Services Center, 3019 Embry LoopThis workshop will teach participants how their social networking activities can attract future employers. During this workshop, participants will learn the importance of using social media to develop their online presence as well as network with professionals intheir field.
