Dear Fellow Believers,

“Whew! We’ve just come through the “spring race” together. But as two congregations, we’re not so much in “competition” as we are in “cooperation”.

Review of Call Committee

May, 2018

Call Committee Members: Betty Pfaff, Chairperson; Lara Hines, Secretary; Crystal Sbraggia; Ivy Endris; Cathy Gabrielson and Jason Young.

We had a second interview with our potential candidate on Wednesday, April 25th.

The call committee called her references and were pleased with what we were told.

We then decided as a call committee to take her name to both church councils to get approval to start the call process.

We then had to call her to see if she would allow us to take her name to our councils to get approval to start the Call Process with her. She told us yes.

The Call Committee met with the joint councils on May 8th and we presented our recommendation to the councils for the candidate we felt we should start the call process with.

The Councils voted and approved our recommendation to start the call process with the candidate we brought to them.

We, along with the councils, will present our recommendation to the congregations at the Special Congregational Meeting on June 3rd.

We have taken this job, that we were selected to do on behalf of our churches, extremely seriously. We were honored to have been given this responsibility and the faith you had in us to select our next pastor. Each of us has put a lot of care, compassion and prayer into this entire process. As a committee, we feel confident that the candidate the council and us will bring to you at the special congregational meeting is going to be a great fit for our congregations. We are excited to see what the future holds for our churches with our potential new pastor.
