    Hello Neighbors,

We still have to vacancies to fill on the Sugarland Run HOA Board of Directors. We are

looking to fill them by appointments to the board to serve for the remainder of the terms

left on these positions. If you are interested in serving your community, please submit

your name to the office or send an email to the board. We are looking forward to working

    with you.

For the 2016 pool season, we are looking to replace the paper card guest passes with a

new swipe card similar to your regular pool pass. This year you still need to go to the

office to receive your guest pass same as every other year, but after this we will simply

reload your guest pass with 10 more guest swipes each year. You will be able to buy more

guest passes, the same as we did with the paper passes. One last thing, yes, your guest

passes from last year are still usable!

Speaking of the pool season, the pool is scheduled to open on Saturday May 28. There

will be a Memorial Day Celebration at the pool on Memorial Day, Monday May 30,

sponsored by the Sugarland Run Dolphins Swim Team.

At the April 6 Board of Directors Meeting, the Board once again reiterated our support

for and sponsorship of the Swim Team by increasing the amount the Board budgets for

the team each year. This is a great opportunity for the children of the community and the

team offers financial assistance to Sugarland Run children of families who may not be

    able to afford the fees.

The swim team has their open registration coming up on May 7 at 10:30 AM in the

community center. Please see the Swim Team website for further information: https://

www.teamunify.com/Home.jsp?_tabid_=0&team=reccslsrd, there is also a link from

SRHOA.com under “Links to Outside Sources”.

Also at the April 6 Board meeting, we approved the 2016 Draft audit for 2015, approved

initiating a Community Survey to request feedback and ideas from the community,

discussed our options in regard to the underlying causes of the continued cracks in the

community center parking lot, and discussed the new email addresses for the staff.

All of our staff emails will now use the srhoa.com domain for simplification. You can now

reach the office using [email protected].

We have noticed an increase in littering lately, especially along Sugarland Run Drive. This

is your neighborhood too, treat it let like you own it. Don’t wait for someone else to pick

up litter, I encourage each of you to help keep Sugarland clean.

    Regards,

    Kevin McKernin

Seven Free Lawn Care offers left: Get yours before they’re gone!

There are just seven FREE lawn care offers available for Sugarland Run residents as a benefit of the

As Loudoun resident Jimmy O’Connor, said recently, “I am pleased to be one of the 2015 Solarize PEC

participants. We are tracking to have our investment recuperated in about 10 years. After that – every

month is money in the bank. In the meantime, our electric bills are half to fully zero of our previous

bills and we are showing our neighbors that it can be done.”

Roof-top solar is one of the most promising forms of local, distributed generation. It happens to

produce at the same time that Virginia experiences peak electric demand, that is, in the afternoon,

during the hottest days in the summer, when everyone turns up the air conditioning.

The benefits of the Solarize program are multi-fold, with the first and foremost being cost savings to

you! It also provides peak power close to the demand, increases energy security and local employment

    opportunities while reducing emissions.

    Solarize Piedmont runs from April 5, 2016 - June 15, 2016
