Report of 1st Industrial Advisory Board meeting held on 12th July, 2017
Department of Mechanical Engineering
The 1st and introductory meeting of IAB was held under the guidance of Prof. Dr. H.G.
Phakatkar (Principal, SRTTC, FoE) who will also act as the Member Secretary of the IAB. The
meeting was graced by the presence of Honorable Mr Shripad Kuvelker, Chairman of SRTTC,
FoE and distinguished members of the board representing a huge cross section of Industry. All
the HoDs of the college were also present. The meeting took place at the college premises at
Khamshet.
A fruitful discussion took place amongst the IAB members which was followed by a very
valuable guidance for the faculties and the students by the members of the IAB.
Lot of opportunities for improvement were identified and the members of the IAB have agreed to
support the college in implementing new ideas at the college. This will help the fresh graduating
students to be employable and ready for the Industry.
On behalf of the college, Prof K S Tapaskar (Vice principal, SRTTC, FoE) thanked all the
Industry experts to have accepted our invitation to be the IAB member and have taken out time
out of the their busy schedule to provide valuable guidance to the college.
