    B. What do you expect to contribute to The Brand Union’s work environment (100 words max)?

  • PART 3: CASE STUDY (STRATEGY APPLICANTS ONLY)

Imagine that you were asked to help a designer shoe company, Fancy Shoes, Ltd., to re-launch its master brand.

Fancy Shoes Ltd. was founded by an orthopedic surgeon who believed that beautiful shoes do not have to be painful. The company and its shoes had a successful launch attracting large loyal following. After ten years in the marketplace, Fancy Shoes’ products enjoyed power-ful recognition for its ‘comfort’ features. However, sales and market share were declining. The loyal customers were getting older and the new customers did not find shoe designs appealing.

Current target: 45–65 year old women

Shoes price point: $400–$500 per pair

Distribution: Four retail stores in the major US cities; online shop; up-

scale department stores (e.g., Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue).

Please provide your recommendations on what the company should do with its master brand to revert the declining sales trend. Please make sure to address target and positioning. How do those influence pricing, brand look & feel, and promotion? What specific promotional efforts would you recommend? (250 words max)
