SUMMER DAZE KIDS CAMP
On the week of July 15th Hospice Vaughan held the Summer Daze Kids Campfor children grieving the loss of a loved one. The camp was a fun filled week forthe kids as they were able to participate in daily activities such as arts andcrafts, animal education sessions, sports, and more! The kids even had asurprise visit from Vaughan Fire and Rescue, as well as many other localcommunity partners and supporters. It was Hospice Vaughan’s privilege to runthis program, and we look forward to another successful year next summer!
CAPITAL DONOR APPRECIATION EVENT
On Thursday, June 20th Hospice Vaughan hosted a capital donor appreciationevent. It was a beautiful night spent with the community and gave the HospiceVaughan design team the opportunity to showcase what they've been workingon. It was an evening to celebrate the strides we've made together! A specialthank you to our event sponsors: Williams and Partners LLP, KPMG, and StemWine Group.

We need caring people to help in all areasincluding In-Home Visiting, ComplementaryTherapy, Day Program, Grief andBereavement Support, Administration,Events and Communications.
We need volunteers that speak differentlanguages including Italian, Russian,Polish, Spanish, Urdu, Chinese and more.

Hospice Vaughan is pleased to offer aDirect Care Volunteer Training beginningthis upcoming Fall. This training is forall volunteers who support the organizationin a direct care role including in-homevisiting, children, youth and adult grief andbereavement, day program, andcomplementary therapy. Developed by Dr. Madan Kataria,Laughter Yoga has many health benefits.Regular, sustained belly laughterencourages feelings of joy, while relievingstress and improving relationships.Laughter yoga is not about fancy pants orposes. It is laughter for no reason toencourage a sense of child-like play andfeelings of joy.
