Summer Scheme 2011

* New for this year*

• *Paddle Power* (Week 4) Ages 8yrs-12 yrs This year we are offering Paddle Power Start and Paddle Power Passport. During the week you will take part in a variety of water sessions and learn how to paddle a canoe, kayak and bell boat. This award is of similar standard as the 1* award and is a great way of learning all you need to know to start paddling. You will receive a certificate and a booklet and take part in a pool session.

• *Paddle Power/NICAS* (Week 2) Ages 12yrs-16yrs This is a week for anyone interested in improving their climbing and paddling skills. Not only will you complete The National Indoor Climbing Award but you will also complete the Paddle Power Award. During the week you will take a trip to an offsite climbing wall and spend a full day off site either climbing or on the water! This course is perfect for anyone wanting to gain some qualifications and experience or who are working towards their DofE.

• *Dodge Ball Tournament* (All Weeks) Ages 8yrs-16yrs This year we have teamed up with The British Heart Foundation to help with their fundraising. Everyone aged 8 years and over, who are booked onto the multi activity holiday will be entered into a Dodge Ball Tournament. Each group will get time to practice during the week and at the end of the week we will hold a tournament to see who the best team is. We will issue sponsor forms with the booking confirmation and it is completely your decision if you would like to collect sponsor money.

• Multi Activity Weeks (All weeks) Ages 5yrs-16yrs The children will be in groups of 10 (8 for under 8’s). They will have the opportunity to try most of our activities including Archery, Air Rifles, Climbing, Abseiling, High Ropes, Water Activities and Bush Craft. There will also be a river trip up to Abby Park where the children will spend a day off site.

• Adrenalin Junkie (Week 5) Ages 12yrs-16yrs Exciting activities run at LOPC and various locations in the East Midlands. You will do High Ropes at LOPC, Caving in the Peak District, and Sailing at Watermeade Park, Paintballing and Rock Climbing. This really is an action packed week for anyone who loves a thrill!

• Extreme Adventure (Week 1 & Week 6) Ages 12yrs-16yrs

As last year was so popular, we are doing it again! Not only do you do exciting activities at LOPC but you get to spend a day at Alton Towers and a day at Swadlincote Ski Centre! At Swadlincote you get to go skiing, tobogganing and sno-tubing all in 1 day! Great for anyone who wants to try something new and loves roller coasters!

If your child attends the After school Club you will receive a 10% discount.

We accept child care vouchers from all leading voucher providers and they can be used in full or part payment for your child’s holiday. If you wish to pay by child care

vouchers please tick this box.

A non refundable deposit of 50% is required at time of booking

Please note that we no longer accept personal cheques. You can make payment using a debit or credit card by telephone.
