TROPIANO was founded in 2014 fol lowing the desire to communicate through fashion the arts and
the cul tures that belong to us f rom an ethical and personal message.
We l ive and bui ld the space around us by changing colors, l ights and dimensions unt i l we ourselves become
protagonists of a s ingle work of ar t that belongs to us.
In the today very fast paced world, TROPIANO wants to stop and return to appreciate the essent ia l i ty of l i fe
by te l l ing wi th i ts col lect ions a nostalgic story of a “Slow Liv ing” mood.
Neutral colors and design detai ls have now become dist inct ive s igns of the brand and along with spacious
and comfortable s i lhouettes they play the important ro le to emphasize a sophist icated sty le
made of “sof t ta i lor ing” and intr icate kni twear.
Formal and Informal blend harmoniously in the col lect ions where
Qual i ty does not renounce to Design.
According to the designer ’s or ig ins and tradi t ions, TROPIANO f i rmly bel ieves in
the qual i ty of the I ta l ian manufacturers preferr ing natural and organic f ibers.
From fabr ic select ion to product ion, each garment is ent i re ly Made In I ta ly
by expert laborator ies that bel ieve and share our values.

Ephemeral l ike the Chr isto&Jeanne-Claude’ s arts instal lat ions, where structures are hidden by r ich drapes and wide volumes.
Reveal ing a new meaning with a di fferent percept ion and consciousness ofthe environment around us.
The SS17 is st i l l an inward looking of the essent ia l , r ich of poet ic charm andcontemplat ive contents of a quiet and ref lect ive moment.
The si lhouettes are “airy” and with a “nomadic” feel ing, confortable andjust apparent ly shabby.
The rough textures play an important role wi th in the pr inted and nibble yarns andnatural f ibre such as the organic cot ton and l inen.
The coulour palet te starts wi th a t rue black, ivory and opt ical whi te that b lend inan “e lephant grey” and ice grey wi th desaturate t ints of green and ocra.

BIO
Selene Tropiano is an i ta l ian designer based in London since 2010.
Graduated in Mi lan in 2008 at the Ist i tuto Marangoni her background of studies
includes Arts and Archi tectures where she takes her major inspirat ion f rom.
Her internat ional career starts straight af ter school working across Spain, I ta ly and UK
for top and luxury brands where she had chance to know and appreciate the cycle of the industry as
Designer and Product Developer for both Mens and Womens col lect ions.
After learning as much as possible f rom al l her exper iences, in 2014 she fel t i t was the r ight t ime
to debut wi th her own brand that takes her surname.

Today, Selene is completely dedicated to the creat ive direct ion and development of the brand and
she also shares her passion teaching Fashion Design at the
Ist i tuto Marangoni London Campus since 2015.
