StudentPass

All international students admitted in the summer programme arerequiredtoapplyforaStudent’sPass,unlesstheyhaveselectedthe2-week programme (which has only 3 AcademicUnits). Instructions forapplyingaStudentPasswillbeprovidedintheOfferofAdmissiononcetheapplicanthasbeensuccessful.

Uponacceptanceoftheofferofadmission,studentswillbedirectedtoapply for the In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter that will enable allinternationalstudentstoenterSingaporeandobtaintheirstudentpassoncetheyareinSingapore.

EntryVisa

Studentsregisteredforthe2-weekprogrammemayrequireanentryvisato enter Singapore. They can check against this link on Singapore’sImmigrationandCheckpointsAuthority(ICA)forthelistofcountriesthatrequireanEntryVisa.Ifrequired,studentsshouldstartapplyingattheabovewebsiteatleast2-4weeksbeforetheirarrival.

Falling illorbeinghospitalized inSingaporecanplaceanunexpectedfinancial burden on international students, who are not entitled tomedical subsidies that Singapore citizens enjoy. Therefore, acompulsory NTU Group Hospitalization & Surgical Insurance (GHSI)coverisincludedinthesummerprogrammefeesforyourpeaceofmindwhilestudyinginSingapore.

Besidesproviding island-wideoutpatientmedical coverage, theGHSIallowsyoutoobtainaLetterofGuaranteetowaivetherequirementtoput up any monetary deposits should you be admitted to agovernment/restructuredhospitalinSingapore.
