Lake Tahoe & Olympic Valley
World-renowned for outdoorrecreation and scenic grandeur, Lake Tahoe, California, is an unrivaled summer playground. Students enjoy lake activities, hiking surrounding peaks, cycling on paths near school, and horseback riding, and they are sure to find plenty of fun and adventure. Nestled in a mountain valley 6 miles (9.5km) from Lake Tahoe, Olympic Valley is quiet and safe. Local amenities include the Village at Squaw Valley with shopping and dining. Students and adult leaders ride the aerial tram to 9,000 feet to a swimming pool, a roller rink, paint-ball, and a disc golf course. Other athletic within 1 mile of school include tennis courts, fly fishing, a golf course, and a soccer field next to the school.
Summer Weekends Weekends are spent exploring the Lake Tahoe region. In addition to outdoor recreation, students also go on excursions to historic Virginia City, take a ride on the MS Dixie paddle boat, and explore the shops, local culture and outdoor community events of Tahoe City and Truckee, California, as well as day trips to Reno and Sacramento.
