Program Description - This program is by invitation to 3rd grade students (going to 4th grade in 2015-16) that scored a level 1 on the 2014-2015 SBA ELA assessment. Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) Program combined with units of guided inquiry will be used as resources.

Partnering with Covington to library to do a book exchange. The purpose of this book exchange will be for kids to continue reading over the summer and challenge themselves. Kids from Horizon are also allowed to bring in books from home to swap out for other books.

The LAP Summer Program at Park Orchard will help students secure skill who are close to grade level standard in Math and ELA as designated by i-Ready, Independent Reading Level Assessment (IRLA), and SBA data. Help reinforce skills and prevent “Summer Slide” in students. This program is for students who qualify for LAP services based on data in our current K-5 classrooms. (K/1, 2/3 & 4/5)
