9 am start Ring One - Indoor Arena - Judge: Mrs Jo Slaughter

Class 1 In hand Young stock - Combined class for 1,2,3 year olds. Open to mares, geldings

and stallions. Stallions must not be handled by someone younger than 14 years on

1st Jan 2016. This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 2 In Hand Coloured - Piebald and skewbald only. This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 3 In hand Odd—Coloured - For palominos, duns, appaloosas, roans, spots, paints,

creams. This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 4 In Hand Best condition - Horses and ponies of all heights and ages plaited and un

plaited. All stallions and colts must be shown bitted & must not be handled by

someone younger than 14 years on 1st Jan 2015 . This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 5 Most Handsome Gelding In-hand - Any gelding can take part, any height, any type.

Ring Two - Indoor Arena - Judge : Miss Aimee White

Class 6 In hand Veterans (15+) - Horse or pony aged 15 years plus (Born in or before

1999). Proof of age will be required and must be shown at the secretary’s tent on

collection of number. This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 7 Best Child Handler (below 15 years) - Mares and geldings only. For children who

are younger than 15 years of age by 1st Jan 2016.This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 8 In - Hand Mountain and Moorland - Open to stallions, mares and geldings both

small and large breeds. At the final the class will be spilt.

This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 9 In-Hand Warmbloods – Full and part bred warmbloods. Open to stallions, mares

and geldings, 4 years and over. This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 10 Prettiest Mare In-Hand - Any mare can take part, any height, any type.

Indoor Arena In-hand Championship for all 1st prizewinners from classes 1 - 10

Indoor Ring - Judge: Mrs Jo Slaughter

Afternoon to be ridden as one ring

Class 11 Novice Ridden - A walk and trot showing class for novice horses and ponies. All

types and sizes, ages. For novice horses and ponies in their first season who have

never won a showing class before. No lead reins. May be spilt between horses and

ponies at final. This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 12 Ridden Mountain and Moorland (Small & Large) - Run as a combined class. At

the final it will be spilt into breeds. This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 13 Ridden Veteran (15 +) - For horses and ponies ages 15 years plus. Open to

stallions, mares and geldings. No lead reins. This class maybe spilt into age

categories at the final. This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 14 Ridden Coloured (Horse & Pony) - For Skewbald and Piebald horses and ponies

only. All heights. Open to stallions, mares and geldings, 4 years and over. Traditional

and non native types. This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 15 Ridden Odd Coloured (Horse & Pony) - For palominos, duns, appaloosas, roans,

spots, paints, creams. All heights. Open to stallions, mares and geldings, 4 years and

over. Traditional and non native types. This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 16 Riding Club Horse (Exceeding 153cm) - Horses that make good all rounders for

Riding Club activities. Open to mares and geldings over 4 years. Any suitable bit.

Horses may be asked to jump a small fence. This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 17 Pony Club Pony (Not exceeding 153cm) - Ponies that make good all rounders for

Pony Club activities . Open to mares and geldings over 4 years. Riders not to of

reached their 25 birthday on 1st Jan 2016. Any suitable bit. Ponies may be asked to

jump a small fence. This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 18 Working Hunter Pony - Fences between 2’3” - 2’6”

For ponies between 122cm—153cm. This will be run as one class but it will be split as at the final into 3 sections as follows:

a) Exc 122cm but not exc 133cm – 2’3" max at final

b) Exc 133cm but not exc 143cm – 2’6" max at final

c) Exc 143cm but not exc 153cm – 2’9" max at final

Riders any age. See C & T for full rules.

Class to be judged 60% jumping, 40% conformation and manners.

This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 19 Novice Working Hunter - Fences between 2’3” - 2’6”

For horses exceeding 148 cm. Open to mares and geldings, 4 years and over. For

horses that have not won a 2’9” course or above. Fences at the final will be 2’6” - 2’9”.

Class to be judged 60% jumping, 40% conformation and manners.

This class is a CTR Qualifier.

Class 20 Working Hunter Horse - Fences between 2’9” and 3”.

For horses exceeding 148 cm. Open to mares and geldings, 4 years and over. See C & T for full rules. At the final the judge may ride and the fences will be 3” - 3.3” max.

Class to be judged 60% jumping, 40% conformation and manners.

This class is a CTR Qualifier.

1. The judge’s decision is final.

2. No liability shall fall on the Organisers, Landowners, Judges or Officials in respect of any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused and all competitors are deemed to be liable to indemnify the said persons in respect of any such loss, damage or injury.

3. Every effort shall be made to keep to schedules, but we reserve the right to alter the order and composition of classes, or to cancel them.

4. Any competitors may be warned or disqualified for improper or excessive use of whips, spurs etc., or other actions which the judges or officials consider warrants such penalty.

5. Correct riding attire must be worn at all times. ALL riders, whether competing or not, must wear correct headgear and footwear; PAS015 or ATSM 1163 SNELL 2001. Must be kite marked. Failure to do so will incur elimination. Riders are responsible for their own safety.

6. All complaints must be put in writing and handed to the secretary with a deposit of £20 within 15 minutes of the incident. The deposit will be returned if the objection is upheld.

7. Entries may be refused without reason being given. There will be no entitlement to refund of entry fees unless a class is cancelled due to insufficient entries, or a Medical/Veterinary certificate is produced. Up to 25% of entry money may be retained to cover administration costs.

8. Change of horse or rider must be notified to the secretary 15 minutes before the start of the class or the entry will become void. Change of both horse and rider will not be accepted.

9. Practice jumps will be flagged (red on right) and must only be jumped in the direction indicated. Any competitor contravening this will be eliminated.

10. All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

11. It is the responsibility of competitors to know the rules.

12. No horse/pony under 4 years may be ridden on the showground.

13. The organisers reserve the right to amalgamate or cancel classes with insufficient entries.

Entry to events at Berkshire College does not entitle riders or visitors to use other equestrian facilities, including the grass rides and the cross country areas. Riders or visitors are not entitled to be anywhere on the estate other than the area of the Summer Show.

Health and Safety

The Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the or-ganisers, all officials and stewards. Any accident on the premises of Berkshire College, however small, must be reported and recorded at the Secretary's office.
