Parable definition:
A simple story used to teach a moral or
spiritual lesson, as told by Jesus in the
Gospels.
The Parable of the Lost Sheep
Watch the story of The Lost Sheep and then discuss what a parable is.
- Do you ever lose things? What have you lost? How do you feel when you lose
something?
-How do you think the sheep was feeling when he was lost and then when the
sheep is found? What do you think the message of the story is?
Main Task-
Fill in the thought bubbles for how the sheep felt when he was lost and when he
was found. Extension – Write what the message is behind the story.

The Parable of the Good Samaritan
Read the story of the Good Samaritan. This story focuses on kindness.
Then answer the questions about the story of the Good Samaritan.
We call someone who helps another person in need, a Good Samaritan.
Main Task –
Draw a picture of one of your good friends and answer the questions
below.
- Why are they a good friend?
- Write why you are good friend to them.
- Why is it important to be kind to others?

Parable definition:

spiritual lesson, as told by Jesus in the
Gospels.
The parable of the mustard coin
Watch the story of the mustard seed.
Jesus started with 12 disciples and then his followers have grown and grown.
This is like the mustard seed which started small and has become a large tree.
Main Task-
Fill in in the missing words in the passage. Create a poster to show the
message of the parable of the Mustard Seed.
Suggested activity:
Plant a seed with an adult at home and take the time to nurture it. As you care
for it, watch how it grows.
Take some photos of the seed as it develops.

Watch the parable of the Lost Coin.
Have you ever lost something important to you? What did you do? How did you
feel? Did you find it again?
Main Task-
Using the storyboard template, create a storyboard of the Lost Coin or create
your own story board that retells the parable of the Lost Coin.
Instead, you could draw a picture of something that is important/precious to
you and write why it is special to you.
