NOTE:When crocheting the first 3 rounds, ch 1 at the beginning of each round - This does notcount as a stitch, neither does it count towards the st total. Each round is finished with 1 sl stin the first st.It’s a good idea to measure the piece on your jar as your work - It must be very tight-fittingon the jar, otherwise it will slide down. You may want to adjust your gauge/hook size if it doesnot fit.

Pattern instructions

1. Using color A. Make 1 mr and ch 1. Work 8 hdc into the ring. End with 1 sl st. (8)

2. Ch 1. Work 2 hdc in each st around. End with 1 sl st. (16)

3. Ch 1. “Work 1 hdc in the first st, 2 hdc in the following st”. Repeat “to” to the end ofthe round. End with 1 sl st. (24)

4. “Ch 4, skip 1 st and work 1 sc in the next st”. Repeat “to” to the end of the round.End with 1 sl st. (12 ch spaces)

5. Work 2 sl sts up along the first ch space to begin in the middle of the space. “Ch 4,work 1 sc into the next ch space” Repeat “to” to the end of the round. To end theround, work 1 sc into the first ch space made in this same round. (12 ch spaces)

6. - 19. “Ch 4, work 1 sc into the next ch space” Repeat “to” to the end of the round. (12ch spaces)

20. Switch to color B. “Ch 4, work 1 sc into the next ch space”. Repeat “to” to the end ofthe round. (12 ch spaces)

21. Work 3 sc into the ch space into which you worked the last sc of the previous round.Work 4 sc into each ch space to the end of the round. End with 1 sl st. (48)
