One to One Meetings
How can we integrate innovation into utility procurement models? How are today’s leading corporate investors staying ahead of the game? How can the water sector capitalise on the opportunities created by Big Data? What new models could make the financing and development of new water and wastewater infrastructure easier?
These are just some of the questions that we’ll be exploring over the next two days, with help from our fantastic faculty of speakers. specialisingI encourage everyone to join the debate by asking questions and sharing ideas. With so much expertise in the room, it’s a great opportunity to learn from one another – and in doing so we hope to find ways to accelerate the adoption of new and innovative water-tech solutions.
At a time when many countries around the world are experiencing severe water shortages, the need for international collaboration has never been greater, and we’re delighted to welcome so many international speakers and delegates here today.
I’d like to thank our Headline Sponsor, Enterprise Ireland, for their support, and welcome Minister Sean Sherlock and the delegation of Irish companies to the summit.
You can meet our all our sponsors, including FATHOM, NuWater and Aqualogy, in our networking space, where you will also find our exhibitors and our Charity Partner, FRANK Water.
Throughout the day, 1-1 meetings will take place in the adjacent room. specialisingIf you haven’t yet checked your meeting schedule, please do so as you may have outstanding requests. specialisingFor help in using the system, please see a member of the Rethink team at the registration desk.
As we continue to develop our portfolio of international events, please share with us your thoughts, feedback and suggestions so that we can continue to create forums which deliver real business benefits to you and your company.
I wish you a fruitful and enjoyable summit.

BGH
BGH develops a new and original Zero Liquid Discharge [ZLD] technology in the field of industrial
waste water treatment, specifically adapted to High TDS waters. (Total Dissolved Solids).
BGH innovates; it differs from membrane technologies (RO,FO) or Thermic technologies
(Evaporation, Crystallisation). BGH process is a true ZLD technology that allows salts recovery in
the form of solid output. Domain of application includes Oil&Gas produced waters, desalinisation,
mining, nuclear, landfill leachate, industrial waste liquid treatments, etc.
Breivoll
Breivoll Inspection Technologies (BIT) is a Norwegian technology company, specialising in the
development of condition assessment tools for water and district heating networks and the
detailed analysis of condition data as an aid to asset management and rehabilitation planning.
BIT has headquarters in Tromsø with additional offices in Oslo, Copenhagen, London, Moscow
and Bordeaux. The company is also involved in several national and international research
initiatives. BIT are currently expanding operations with more inspection units being deployed in
different regions.
HydroSpin
HydroSpin provides a patented micro-energy solution for water monitoring systems, sensors and
data loggers. HydroSpin’s micro-generator creates enough power to support remote devices
24/7 throughout the water network such as sensors and transmission devices, powering “online
transmission”. The goal: To make water monitoring power more available, green and affordable.
Water quality data can then be made more accessible to urban municipalities, city engineers and
water providers at large via a clean tech, sustainable solution
ItN Nanovation
ItN Nanovation AG is one of the leading companies developing innovative products based on
nanotechnology, especially water filtration systems which are branded under ItN Water Filtration.
With their Ceramic Flat Membrane CFM-Systems ItN Water Filtration products deploy superior
performance in drinking water purification from surface water, groundwater and sea water.
Furthermore ItN Water Filtration is specified in equipment for waste water treatment in different
realms of application. First big water filtration plants have been installed since 2012.
Miwatek
Primarily set up as a technology provider, Miwatek focuses on developing and commercialising
new water treatment technology for complex mine and industrial waters. The product portfolio
consists of Multi-Stage Reverse Osmosis, which are effective, sustainable multi-stage RO systems
capable of achieving up to 98% recovery using patented technology that reduces Capex and
Opex costs. Alongside of this is the Miwatek Brine Treatment Process which offers overall water
recoveries that approach and include Zero Liquid Discharge without the requirements of a
crystallisation process. They also offer Miwatek Ettringite Treatment Process which exploits the
Ettringite formation reaction to achieve high sulphate removal targets without the use of reverse
osmosis or nanofiltration units.

NVP Energy
NVP Energy has developed a unique revenue-generating, carbon-neutral, low temperature
Anaerobic Digestion (Lt-AD) technology that treats low-strength wastewater and recovers valuable
biogas in the process. Treatment occurs at temperatures as low as 4°C with no heat input required.
Lt-AD operates without aeration and produces negligible sludge thus significantly reducing
operating costs and as the energy generated from the biogas is greater than the energy required
to operate Lt-AD, Lt-AD is an energy positive technology. Target markets are Municipal WW and
Food & Drink WW.
Oxymem
OxyMem solves energy intensive wastewater treatment, a global challenge consuming over 2% of
electricity production. Conventional biological processes have been in use for over 100 years but
result in energy losses of 70%+ because of the reliance on bubbles to deliver oxygen. OxyMem
does not rely on bubbles, they utilise gas permeable membranes to deliver oxygen directly to
the micro-organisms. OxyMem achieves superior performance, on a smaller footprint, with lower
sludge production, less operator hours, and achieves energy savings in excess of 75%.
Savage Recycling Showers
Savage Recycling Showers was founded in 2009 to develop a recycling shower system capable
of saving, over 90% of both the water and the energy used in a conventional shower. This six year
task involved 46 prototypes, before injection moulding tooling was undertaken and the first fully
functioning prototype was completed. With a granted British patent and applications covering
43 water stressed countries, The objective is to find and secure a partner going forward, to
manufacture and distribute worldwide.
Zweec
ZWEEC is a computer vision company from Singapore. It develops solutions for water security,
sports safety, and intelligent surveillance using video analytics as its core technology. For water
security, ZWEEC’s intelligent bio-monitoring solution provides a quick event indication upon
detecting the presence of contaminants in water. It is able to demonstrate sufficient sensitivity
to detect contaminants at levels protective of public health and trigger varying alerts for rapid
response. The solution has been implemented in Singapore, China and Taiwan. In 2012, it won the
IWA Project Innovation Award together with PUB, Singapore’s water agency
