AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT
The show will be LIVE ON STAGE at the SST Studios!
When: Thursday April 29 and Friday April 30, beginning at 5pm. Sunday and May 2 beginning at 1pm.
Where: SST Studios, 4340 S Valley View, Suite 204
What to Prepare: We ask that you please prepare a short section of two or three songs, including the “money notes” of each song. Performers for this Studio show must be able to perform to an accompaniment track. We ask that you bring tracks with you for your audition. For the ALW Revue: We are looking for classic Andrew Lloyd Webber styling for this revue, similar to Michael Ball, Michael Crawford, Elaine Paige, Betty Buckley, Sarah Brightman.

Who is SRO? Standing Room Only Performing Arts, LLC (SRO) is a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit production company. As producers, we are new to the Las Vegas Theatre Community, but we are not new to producing great shows. We are pleased to be partnered with Super Summer Theatre for our inaugural production this season at the Studio.
What is the Production? Our first production will be a double bill featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Our Opening Act will be a Revue of the Very Best by Andrew Lloyd Webber: “Whispered Conversations,” for which we plan to cast two men and two women.
Our Second Act will be Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black’s Tell Me On A Sunday. This is a one-woman “song-cycle” which will be staged as a one-act musical play. It is entirely sung-through. It is the story of an English woman looking to find love and settle down in the United States.
What Is the story for Tell Me On A Sunday?
Tell Me on a Sunday follows a young English girl who has recently landed in New York. Brimming with optimism, she sets out to seek success, companionship and, of course, love. But as she weaves her way through the maze of the city and her own anxieties, frustrations and heartaches, she begins to wonder whether—in fact—she’s been looking for love in all the wrong places.
The show contains some of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most-treasured songs, including “Tell Me on a Sunday,” “Come Back with the Same Look in Your Eyes” and “Nothing Like You’ve Ever Known.”
The intimate one-woman one-act musical is the perfect showcase for a talented performer to shine.
Whispered Conversations: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber
There will not be a lot of prep-time for this Revue. Performers must learn their songs quickly and be available for the two weeks prior to opening night for rehearsals. Since our time is very limited for this project, we’d prefer to hear the ALW songs being considered for the show.
