Connection Cards: You may notice a slight change in the back of our connection cards today. We are excited about our new Family Experience Ministry starting in September and there is a space on the back of the new cards that will allow you to sign up for dinner the 1st Wednesday night of each month. We look forward to our upcoming fall kick off!
Freedom Night: Join us Friday, August 18 at 7:00pm in the Gym for a night of worship.
College Students & Young Adults: Are you looking for a place to connect with other young adults? We are excited to offer a new small group for College Students & Young Adults ages 18-30. Starts at 8:30 in room 312 (couch room). Cancellation for Game Day: Older Adult Game Day that is scheduled for August 15 has been cancelled.
Acolyte Training: An acolyte is someone who assists the Pastors during the 11:00am service and some special services through lighting the altar candles and helping with Communion. This is an awesome opportunity to serve! If you would like to learn more-parents and student are invited to attend this brief info/training session. Lunch will be provided. Sunday, August 27 at 12:15pm in the Small Dining Room. Training is for ages 3rd grade and up. Please email Amy Sizemore [email protected] to make your reservation.

If you will remember, I said on my first Sunday here that I wanted us to be a “wet church.” Also, I asked you to give 4 hours a week to Christ and the church in the following ways: 1 hour to prayer, 1 hour to worship, 1 hour to service, and 1 hour to an accountability group. Somebody must be praying, because we have 2 baptisms and professions of faith, and one person rededicating her life to Christ and remembering her baptism today in the 9:45am worship service. Praise the Lord! Even if you do not normally attend this service, I encourage you to come and support these candidates at this service, and also attend the service where you normally worship.
