WHO IS JESUS? <Rev.1:1-8>
SANTIAGO B. SAMEON II, B.Th. Ed. D. INTRODUCTION: In the book of John, the first epistle that John wrote, Jesus has been pictured by the writer, as the world’s great adoring lover. In the early part of the first chapter of the book of Revelation, the 5
th book that the Apostle John wrote, Jesus is depicted as a revelator and delegator of
the revealed word by the Father, the First person of the Godhead, that now ushers us, to our lesson this very moment!

JOHN PENNED THE REVEALED WORD OF JESUS TO THE SEVEN CHURCHES
1. Seven epistles to Asian churches - “John, to the seven churches in Asia:…” Rev.1:4
2. Blessings of tranquility to churches - “Grace to you and peace from Him…” Rev.1:4
3. Eternal Jesus who exist and will come - “who is and who was and who is to come,...” Rev.1:4
4. Higher spirit beings - “and from the seven Spirits…” Rev.1:4
5. Attending before God’s throne - “who are before His throne,…” Rev.1:4
6. From Jesus the trustworthy witness -“and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness,…” Rev.1:5
7. Resurrected preeminent Jesus - “the firstborn from the dead,…” Rev.1:5
8. Sovereign king of all earthly rulers - “and the ruler over the kings of the earth Rev.1:5
9. Jesus who adored and cleansed us - “To Him who loved us and washed us…” Rev.1:5
