Bloomfield Baptist Church Family,
Last Sunday, Grace Baptist Church in Somerset, Kentucky voted unanimously to call Pastor Matt Thompson as their Pastor of Students and Families. While we are sad to see Matt leave, we are thankful for the time he and his family have invested in Bloomfield Baptist Church over the last 5 years. Please join me in praying for the Thompson family and for Grace Baptist Church during this time of transition. Matt’s last Sunday with us will be March 22nd and we will be having a reception for the Thompsons that afternoon from 2 to 4 pm in the Family Life Center. Many of you have already asked me what is next for our church as we approach Matt’s transition. Over the last month, I have presented a transition plan to our deacons and our Personnel Committee. They have unanimously approved this plan and I am looking forward to sharing details with our church family at our next Members Meeting on Sunday, March 29 at 6:30pm. I believe that God has great things in store for us at Bloomfield Baptist Church. Please join me in praying that God will use our church family to reach our neighbors and the nations with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ! Reaching Bloomfield with You, Pastor Richard
