RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Religious Education Registration 2017-2018
Registration for all students for the 2017-2018
Religious Education Program may be completed at the
Parish Office during normal business hours.
Registration forms for all new students are
available in the parish office.
First Day of Class
All Religious Education classes for grades one
through ten will begin on Saturday, September 9th
.
Classes will take place from 9:00 to 10:15 A.M. in the
school.
Parent Meetings
Parents with children in grades one through eight
will meet with Father Anthony on September 16th
from
9:00 to 10:15 A.M. in the school. At least one parent is
to attend this meeting.
Parents whose child [Grade Three] will celebrate
the Sacrement of Reconcilliation [Confession] this
autumn will meet with Father Anthony on Saturday,
September 23, 2017 from 9:00 until 10:15 A.M. in the
school. At least one parent is to attend this meeting.
PICNIC MEETING
There will be a meeting of the Picnic Committee and the
Parish Council on Tuesday, September 5th
at 7 P.M. in the
Holy Name Room. All who wish to help with the Picnic
are welcome.
Our parish picnic is next weekend, Sunday, Sept. 10th
. The
Picnic Committee has posted a sign-up sheet in the back of the
church and is looking for your help in several areas. Please
consider joining us for an hour or two to help make our picnic a
success.

GRZECH PIERWORODNY
Myślenie po ludzku, zamiast po Bożemu, jest pierwszym
skutkiem grzechu pierworodnego. Tak naprawdę grzech
pierworodny polega na tym, że człowiek ma poodwracane
pragnienia, że pragnie tego, co złe, zamiast tego, co dobre, że
jest nastawiony "na", oczekuje, spodziewa się, marzy o tym, co
wcale nie przyniesie mu szczęścia. To jest skutek grzechu
pierworodnego i Święty Piotr udowadnia nam to dzisiaj, mówiąc
do Jezusa: Nie chciałbym, żebyś realizował plany swojego Ojca,
wolałbym, żebyś zrealizował moje ludzkie plany. Dlatego
usłyszał od Jezusa, że jest przeszkodą. Wszyscy mamy prawo
błądzić, mówić Bogu: Pomyliłem się. Moje marzenia, pragnienia
są złe. Nie wolno nam jednak stawiać naszych planów ponad
plany Boga.
Panie, pozwól mi tracić moje życie, abym nieustannie zyskiwał je dla Ciebie. Daj mi tak słuchać Twego słowa, abym słyszał nie tylko to, co trudne i wymagające, ale bym umiał odkrywać również obietnicę zwycięstwa, którą zawarłeś w swoich słowach.
PIKNIK PARAFIALNY

Plains Rd., Wallingford, CT., 06492 w niedzielę 10
września od godz. 13:00 do 20:00. Wstęp $5 od osoby. Od
godz. 13:00 – 17:00 grać będzie Dennis Polisky Polka
Band, a od 17:30 – 20:00 DJ. Bardzo prosimy o wsparcie
Loterii poprzez nabycie biletów dla siebie, oraz jeśli
możliwe rozprowadzenie ich wśród Krewnych, Przyjaciół,
czy Znajomych. Kochani, zarówno Piknik jak i Loteria, to
jedyna akcja w ciągu roku dająca możliwość zebrania
dodatkowych funduszy na potrzeby Parafii. Stąd też
prosimy byście zaprosili Waszych Krewnych i Przyjaciół
do udziału w naszym parafialnym święcie. Z całą
pewnością Piknik Parafialny, to nie tylko okazja do
przyjemnie spędzonego czasu i dobrej zabawy, ale
również możliwość pogłębienia wzajemnych relacji, a
tym samym umocnienia naszej wspólnoty parafialnej.

POLSKA SZKOŁA SOBOTNIA
W sobotę 9 września o godzinie 10:15 odbędą się zapisy dzieci do Polskiej Szkoły Sobotniej.
Fall Cleaning with Meaning!
Knights of Columbus, Rodrigo Council 44 in conjunction with Charities
of Hope Inc. are proud to sponsor Clothing Drive Fundraiser on
Saturday, September 9, 8:00-5:00 pm and Sunday, September 10, 8:00-
12:00 pm in the parking lot of St. Bernadette Church, corner of 385
Townsend Avenue/20 Burr Street. Donate used or new clothing, shoes,
handbags, linens-bedding-curtains. Simply drive by and drop off. Time
to clean out your closets this summer.
PARISH PICNIC
We would like to let you know that our annual Parish
Picnic/Harvest Festival will be held at PNA Park, 171 N.
Plains Rd., Wallingford, CT., 06492 on Sunday,
September 10, 2017 from 1 P.M. till 8 P.M. Admission is
$5 per person. The event will include delicious Polish-
American food, music by the Dennis Polisky Polka Band
from 1-5 PM, and by a DJ from 5:30-8 PM. There will
be a Parish Raffle at the Picnic. The tickets are a bargain
$2.00 each or $40.00 a book of 20 Raffle Tickets. The
Picnic gives us the opportunity to raise funds for the
Parish. Have a great time enjoying the Polish-American
music and Polish and American food throughout the
afternoon. We look forward to seeing you there! I ask
each member of the parish to support this parish event by
buying the raffle tickets or selling them to your relatives,
friends or co-workers. Return whatever tickets you don’t
sell along with your check and the stubs of those that are
purchased. For certain, the Parish Picnic is not only an
opportunity to enjoy ourselves with good food and games,
but it provides an opportunity to get to know each other
better as well as to strengthen our Parish Community. We

POLISH SATURDAY SCHOOL REGISTRATION
The Polish Saturday School will hold registration on Saturday, September 9th at 10:15 A.M.
ARCHDIOCESAN WOMEN'S CONFERENCE
The Office of Education, Evangelization and Catechesis of
the Archdiocese of Hartford is pleased to announce the
inaugural Archdiocesan Women's Conference. The event
will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the
Hartford Marriot Downtown in Hartford, CT and run from
9 AM — 5 PM. The Conference is open to all Catholic
women of faith, not just those employed by/volunteering in

NATURAL FAMILY PLANNING (NFP) INFORMATION
SESSION.
NFP is an umbrella term for modern, healthy, scientifically accurate,
natural, and reliable methods of family planning. An introductory
