Terry the Tomboy is excited that Summer is here and school is out. In anticipation for Summer, Terry (Lia Marie Johnson) and her best friend Duncan T. (Noland Ammon) create a list of things that they want to accomplish this summer, and the most important one is to win the county fair pie eating contest. Then Terry hears a noise and meets a boy named Brett (Charlie Depew) who is just moving in across the street from Terry. Right when Terry is about to talk to him, Brittanica (Audrey Whitby), Terry's nemesis and former friend, snoops in and tells Brett lies about Terry. Terry gets mad and goes back home. As Summer goes by, Terry is feeling awkward and sick. Terry realizes she is in love with Brett, but Brittanica gets in the way so she asks her brother for help (Christopher Bones) and he says she should become a cheer-

Nickelodeon’s deal with Awesomeness underscores how tradi-tional TV outlets and Internet hot shots are increasingly �nding common ground on projects. Awesomeness, a unit of Dream-Works Animation, has produced a weekly sketch comedy series for Nickelodeon that featured the Terry the Tomboy character. The telepic is set to air June 21.

Nickelodeon’s pact with Awesomeness underscores how much traction the multichannel digital network has with the demo that

Nickelodeon and Disney Channel used to thoroughly dominate. Awesomeness, meanwhile, has gained invaluable exposure for a

highly marketable property through Nickelodeon’s broad reach in TV.

“Terry the Tomboy embraces one of Nickelodeon’s many hilarious charac-ters that has experienced enormous popularity on our air and online,” said

Russell Hicks, Nickelodeon’s prexy of content development and production. “Our audience will soon see a new side to Terry’s o�beat world where she must

decide between being true to herself – or changing to obtain acceptance from others.”
