Kingfisher Treasure Seekers is an

organisation with a long history of supporting

people with mental health problems. The opening of our coffee

shop and our community hub in 2014 has provided

a great opportunity to offer mental health

support out of hours and with a non-clinical approach.

Support at The Cavern provides listening support, low level interventions such as board games and adult colouring, inclusive activities such as quiz nights and

a supportive environment. Utilising the main coffee shop, a small backroom ‘snug’ when privacy is needed and a quieter upstairs room, there is a space for

everyone.

Support at The Cavern has trained staff and volunteers available each evening from 6pm-11pm, 365 days a year.

We help people to feel less isolated, cope with anxiety, meet new people and provide support at a time

when little low level support is available. We are working closely with Gloucestershire

Clinical Commissioning Group and ensuring this

complements the range of support available for those with mental health issues.

Individuals can be referred to us and the service is free at the point of use for adults

(18+) living in Gloucestershire whose presenting complaint

is mental health.
