d about the conferenceWith new applications emerging on the scene, digital imaging equipment is being used increasingly in everyday life. More than just still cameras, advanced imaging systems are appearing in security, surveillance, broadcasting, medical equipment, machine vision and even cars. Who would have thought 10 years ago that almost every mobile phone today would be equipped with an integrated camera? With statistics like these it’s hardly surprising that the image sensor industry is worth over $6 million*. And with quality being enriched and costs coming down, new market opportunities are being opened all the time.
This year’s IntertechPira Image Sensors conference brings together the world’s leading imaging experts and companies to discuss the latest innovations and emerging markets in the field. Intensively examining the most crucial developments in both commercial prospects and technical developments, this is an unmissable event for anybody developing or using image sensors and camera modules.
Image Sensors
Conference: Wednesday, 19 March — Thursday, 20 March, 2008Pre-conference workshops: Tuesday, 18 March, 2008Location: Copthorne Tara Hotel, Kensington, London, UK
By attending you’ll obtain a critical insight into the market forecast for image sensors and discover where expert analysts think new developments are expected. Leading integrators including Nokia and Motorola will give their honest opinions on how the industry needs to move forward to meet their requirements. Imaging Processing Challenges in the World of Small PixelsTuesday 18 March, 14:00 - 17:00
Increasing camera resolution without changing the camera size means smaller pixels must be used. Unfortunately, these ever shrinking pixels have performance limitations. This unmissable seminar will discuss the background of imaging processing and how the use of advanced on-the-fly digital image processing techniques can enable improved performance from these smaller pixels.
