In (the) name(of) Allah,the Most Gracious,the Most Merciful.

(All) the praises and thanks(be) to Allah,the One Whocreatedthe heavens

and the earthand madethe darkness[es]and the light.Thenthose whodisbelieved

in their Lordequate others with Him.1He(is) the One Whocreated you

fromclaythenHe decreeda term -and a termspecifiedwith Him,

yetyoudoubt.2And He(is) Allahinthe heavensand in

the earth.He knowsyour secretand what you make publicand He knows

In the name of Allah, theMost Gracious, the MostMerciful.

All praises and thanks beto Allah, thecreated the heavens andthe earth and made thedarkness and the light.Yet those who disbelieveequate (others) withtheir Lord.

iscreated you from clayand then decreed a term -a specified term (knownto) , yet you are indoubt!

And is Allah in theheavens and in the earth.

knows your secretand what you makepublic, and knows

(the) Signs(of) their Lordbutthey arefrom itturning away.4Then indeed,

they deniedthe truthwhenit came to them,but soonwill come to themnews

(of) whatthey used to[at it]mock.5Did notthey seehow many

We destroyedbefore themof generationsWe had established theminthe earth

whatWe (have) not establishedfor you?And We sent(rain from) the skyupon them

showering abundantlyand We madethe riversflowunderneath them.

Then We destroyed themfor their sinsand We raisedafter themother generations.

6And (even) ifWe (had) sent downto youa written Scripturein

a parchmentand they touched itwith their hands,surely (would) have saidthose who

disbelieved,“This is notbutclear magic.”7And they said,

“Why has not beensent downto himan Angel?”And ifWe (had) sent down

an Angel,surely (would) have been decidedthe matterthenno

respite would have been granted to them.8And ifWe had made himan Angel,

certainly We (would) have made hima man,and certainly We (would) have obscured

what you earn.

And no sign comes tothem from the Signs oftheir Lord except thatthey turn away from it.

Then indeed, they deniedthe truth when it came tothem, but soon news willcome to them about whatthey used to mock.

Have they not seenhow many generations

destroyed beforethem which hadestablished upon theearth as have notestablished you? And

sent (rain) fromthe sky upon them inabundant showers and

made the rivers flowbeneath them. Thendestroyed them for theirsins and raised afterthem other generations.

And even if had sentdown to you a writtenScripture on parchmentand they touched it withtheir hands, those whodisbelieved would havesaid, “This is nothing butobvious magic.”

And they said, “Whyhas not an Angel beensent down to him?” Andif had sent down anAngel, the matter wouldhave been decided; thenno respite would havebeen granted to them.

And if had madehim (i.e., the Messenger)an Angel, certainlywould have made him(appear as) a man and

wouldhaveobscured

to themwhatthey are obscuring.9And indeedwere mockedMessengers

before youbut surroundedthose whoscoffedof themwhatthey used to

[at it]mock.10Say,“Travelinthe earthandsee

howwas(the) end(of) the rejecters.”11Say,“To whom (belongs)

what(is) inthe heavensand the earth?”Say,“To Allah.”He has decreedupon

Himselfthe Mercy.Surely He will assemble youon(the) Day(of) the Resurrection,

(there is) nodoubtabout it.Those whohave lostthemselves,then they(do) not

believe.12And for Him(is) whateverdwellsinthe nightand the day,

and He(is) All-Hearing,All-Knowing.13Say,“Is it other thanAllah

I (should) take(as) a protector,Creator,(of) the heavensand the earth,while (it is) He

Who feedsand notHe is fed?”Say,“Indeed I[I] am commandedthat

I be(the) firstwhosubmits (to Allah)and notbeof

the polytheists.”14Say,“Indeed, I[I] fearifI disobeyedmy Lord,

punishment(of) a Mighty Day.”15Whoeveris avertedfrom itthat Day

then surelyHe had Mercy on him.And that(is) the success(the) clear.16

them with that inwhich they areobscuring themselves(i.e., confusion anddoubt).

And indeed, theMessengers were mockedbefore you, but thosewho scoffed at themwere surrounded by thatwhich theyused tomock.

Say, “Travel in the earthand see how was the endof the rejecters.”

Say, “To whom belongswhatever is in theheavens and the earth?”Say, “To Allah.” hasdecreed uponMercy. Surely, willassemble you on theDay of Resurrection,about which there is nodoubt. Those who havelost themselves do notbelieve.

And to belongswhatever dwells in thenight and the day, and

is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

Say “Is it other thanAllah I should take as aprotector, Creator of theheavens and the earth,while it is feedsand is not fed?” Say,“Indeed, I have beencommanded to be thefirst to submit (to Allah)and not to be of thosewho associate partnerswithAllah.”

Say, “Indeed, I fear, if Ishould disobey my Lord,the punishment of aMighty Day.”

Whoever is avertedfrom such a punishmentthat Day, then surelyhad Mercy on him. Andthat is the clear success.

Him.And ifHe touches youwith good,then He(is) oneverythingAll-Powerful.

17And He(is) the SubjugatoroverHis slaves.And He(is) the All-Wise,

the All-Aware.18Say,“Whatthing(is) greatest(as) a testimony?”Say,

“Allah(is) Witnessbetween meand between you,and has been revealedto me

this[the] Quranthat I may warn youwith itand whoeverit reaches.Do you truly

testifythatwithAllah(there are) godsother?”Say,“I (do) not testify.”

Say,“OnlyHe(is) One God,and indeed, I amfreeof what

you associate (with Him).19Those (to) whomWe have given themthe Book

they recognize himasthey recognizetheir sons.Those wholostthemselves

then they(do) notbelieve.20And who(is) more unjustthan (he) who

inventsagainstAllaha lieorrejectsHis Signs?Indeed,not

will be successfulthe wrongdoers.21And (the) DayWe will gather themall,

thenWe will sayto those whoassociated others with Allah,“Where (are)your partners,

those whomyou used toclaim.22Thennotwill be(for) them a plea

And if Allah touchesyou with affliction, thenthere is no remover of itexcept . And iftouches you with good,then has power overeverything.

And is theSubjugator overslaves. And is theAll-Wise, theAll-Aware.

Say, “What thing isgreatest as a testimony?”Say, “Allah is Witnessbetween me and you.And this Quran has beenrevealed to me so that Imay warn you with it andwhoever it reaches. Doyou truly testify thatthere are other gods withAllah?” Say, “I do nottestify.” Say, “ is butOne God, and indeed, Iam free of what youassociate (with ).”

Those to whomhave given the Bookrecognize him as theyrecognize their sons.Those who have lostthemselves do notbelieve.

And who is more unjustthan he who invents a lieagainst Allah or rejects

Signs? Indeed, thewrongdoers will not besuccessful.

And the Day willgather them all together,then will say to thosewho associated otherswith Allah, “Where areyour partners, thosewhom you used to claim.

Then they will have noplea

exceptthatthey say,“By Allah,our Lord,notwe were

those who associated others (with Allah).”23Lookhowthey liedagainst

themselves.And lostfrom themwhatthey used toinvent.24

And among them(are those) wholistento you,but We have placedover

their heartscoveringslestthey understand it,and intheir earsdeafness.And if

they seeeverysignthey will not believein it.Until,whenthey come to you

and argue with yousaythose whodisbelieved,“This (is) notbut(the) tales

(of) the former (people).”25And theyforbid (others)from itand they keep away

from it.And notthey destroyexceptthemselvesand notthey perceive.

26And ifyou (could) seewhenthey are made to standbythe Fire

then they (will) say,“Oh! Would that wewere sent backand notwe would deny

(the) Signs(of) our Lordand we would beamongthe believers.”27Nay,

became manifestfor themwhatthey used toconcealbefore.And if

they were sent backcertainly they (would) returnto whatthey were forbidden

from it,and indeed theycertainly are liars.28And they said,“Not it (is)

except that they will say,“By Allah, our Lord, wewere not those whoassociated others withAllah.”

Look how they liedagainst themselves. Andwhat they used to inventwill be lost from them.

And among them arethose who listen to you,but have placed overtheir hearts coveringslest they understand it,and in their earsdeafness. And if they seeevery sign, they will notbelieve in it. Even whenthey come to you andargue with you thosewho disbelieve say, “Thisis nothing but the tales ofthe former people.”

And they forbid(others) from it andthey (themselves) keepaway from it. And theydo not destroy exceptthemselves, and they donot perceive.

And if you could seewhen they are made tostand before the Fire,they will say, “Oh!Would that we were sentback, then we wouldnot deny the Signs ofour Lord and would beamong the believers.”

Nay, what they usedto conceal before hasbecome manifest tothem. And even if theywere sent back, certainlythey would return tothat which they wereforbidden; and certainly,they are liars.

And they say, “There isnothing

exceptour life(of) the worldand notwe(will be) resurrected.”29

And ifyou (could) seewhenthey will be made to standbeforetheir Lord.

He (will) say,“Is notthisthe truth?”They will say,“Yes,by our Lord.”

He (will) say,“So tastethe punishmentbecauseyou used todisbelieve.”30

Indeed,incurred lossthose whodeniedin (the) meeting(with) Allah,until

whencame to themthe Hoursuddenlythey said,“Oh! Our regretover

whatwe neglectedconcerning it,”while theywill beartheir burdenson

their backs.Unquestionably!Evil(is) whatthey bear.31And not

(is) the life(of) the worldexcepta playand amusement;but the home

(of) the Hereafter(is) bestfor those who(are) God conscious.Then, will you not reason?

32Indeed,We knowthat itgrieves youwhatthey say.

And indeed, they(do) notdeny youbutthe wrongdoers -

the Verses of Allahthey reject.33And surelywere rejectedMessengers

before you,but they were patientoverwhatthey were rejected

and they were harmeduntilcame to themOur help.And no

except our worldly life,and we will not beresurrected.”

And if you could seewhen they will be madeto stand before theirLord. will say, “Isthis not the truth?” Theywill say, “Yes, by ourLord.” will say, “Sotaste the punishmentbecause you used todisbelieve.”

Indeed, they haveincurred loss who denythe meeting with Allahuntil, when the Hourcomes on them suddenly,they will say, “Oh! Ourregret over what weneglected concerning it,”while they will bear theirburdens on their backs.Unquestionably! Evil iswhat they bear.

And the worldly life isnothing but play andamusement; but thehome of the Hereafter isbest for those who areGod conscious. Then,will you not reason?

Indeed, know thatit grieves you what theysay. And indeed, they donot deny you, but thewrongdoers reject theVerses ofAllah.

And surely Messengerswere rejected beforeyou, but they were patienton being rejected andthey were harmed until

help came to them.And none

one (can) alter(the) words(of) Allah,and surelyhas come to youof (the) news

(of) the Messengers.34And ifisdifficultfor youtheir aversion

then ifyou are abletoseeka tunnelinthe earthor

a ladderintothe skyso that you bring to thema Sign.But ifAllah (had) willed

surely He (would) have gathered themonthe guidance.So (do) notbeof

the ignorant.35Onlyrespondthose wholisten.

But the dead -Allah will resurrect them,thento Him36 they will be returned.

And they said,“Why (is) notsent downto hima Signfromhis Lord?”

Say,“IndeedAllah(is) Able[on]tosend downa Sign,but

most of them(do) not.know ”37And not[of]any animalin

the earthand nota bird(that) flieswith its wings -but(are) communities

like you.We have not neglectedinthe Book[of]anything,thento

their Lordthey will be gathered.38And those whorejectedOur Verses

(are) deafand dumbinthe darkness[es].WhoeverAllah wills -

He lets him go astrayand whoeverHe wills -He places himon

can alter the words ofAllah. And surely hascome to you the newsof the Messengers.

And if their aversion isdifficult for you, then ifyou are able to seek atunnel into the earth or aladder into the sky tobring to them a Sign(then do so).And ifAllahhad willed, surelywould have gatheredthem to guidance. So donot be of the ignorant.

Only those who listenrespond. But the dead -Allah will resurrect them,then to they will bereturned.

And they say, “Why isnot a Sign sent down tohim from his Lord?”Say, “Indeed, Allah isAble to send down aSign, but most of themdo not know.”

And there is no animalon the earth or a bird thatflies with its wings, butthey are communitieslike you. have notneglected in the Bookanything. Then to theirLord they will begathered.

And those who rejectVerses are deaf and

dumb in the darkness.Whoever Allah wills -

lets him go astray;and whoever wills -

places on

punishment(of) Allahor(there) came to youthe Hour -is it other than Allah

you call,ifyou aretruthful?”40“Nay,Him Aloneyou call

and He would removewhatyou callupon HimifHe wills,and you will forget

whatyou associate (with Him).”41And certainlyWe sent (Messengers)

tonationsbefore you,then We seized themwith adversityand hardship

so that they mayhumble themselves.42Then why notwhencame to them

Our punishment,they humbled themselves?Buttheir hearts became hardened

and made fair-seemingto themthe Shaitaanwhatthey used todo.

43So whenthey forgotwhatthey were remindedof [it],We opened

on themgates(of) everything,untilwhenthey rejoicedin what

they were given,We seized themsuddenlyand thenthey(were) dumbfounded.

44So was cut off(the) remnant(of) the people[those] whodid wrong.

And all praises and thanks(be) to AllahLord(of) the worlds.45Say,

“Have you seenifAllah took awayyour hearingand your sightand sealed

Say, “Have youconsidered - if therecomes upon you thepunishment of Allah orcomes upon you theHour - is it other thanAllah you call, if you aretruthful?”

“Nay, it is Aloneyou call, and wouldremove that for whichyou called uponif wills, and youwill forget what youassociate (with ).”

And certainlysent (Messengers) to thenations before you, then

seized them withadversity and hardship,so that they may humblethemselves.

Then why, whenpunishment came

to them, they did nothumble themselves? Buttheir hearts becamehardened and Shaitaanmade fair-seeming tothem what they used todo.

So when theyforgot what they werereminded of, openedon them the gates ofeverything until, whenthey rejoiced in whatthey were given,seized them suddenly,and then they weredumbfounded.

So the people whocommitted wrong wereeliminated. And allpraises and thanks be toAllah, the Lord of theworlds.

Say, “Have youconsidered: if Allah tookaway your hearing andyour sight and sealed

And notWe sendthe Messengersexcept(as) bearer of glad tidings

and (as) warners.So whoeverbelievedand reformed,then nofearupon them

and nottheywill grieve.48And those whodenied[in] Our Verses

will touch themthe punishmentfor whatthey used todefiantly disobey.49

Say,“I (do) not sayto you(that) with me(are the) treasures(of) Allahand not

(that) I knowthe unseenand notI sayto youthat I (am)an Angel.

I (do) not followexceptwhatis revealedto me.”Say,“Canbe equal

the blindand the seeing one?”Then will notyou give thought?50And warn

with itthose whofearthatthey will be gatheredtotheir Lord,not

for themother than Himany protectorand notany intercessor,so that they may

(become) righteous.51And (do) notsend awaythose whocall

your hearts, which godother than Allah couldrestore them to you?See how explainthe Signs; yet they turnaway.”

Say, “Have youconsidered: if thepunishment of Allahcomes to you suddenlyor openly, will any bedestroyed except thewrongdoing people?

And did not sendthe Messengers exceptas bearer of glad tidingsand as warners. Sowhoever believes andreforms - then they willhave no fear nor willthey grieve.

And those whodeny Verses, thepunishment will touchthem for what they usedto defiantly disobey.

Say, (O MuhammadSAWS!) “I do not say toyou that I have with methe treasures of Allah,nor do I know theunseen, nor do I say toyou that I am an Angel. Ionly follow what isrevealed to me.” Say,“Can the blind and theseeing one be equal?”Then will you not givethought?

And warn with it thosewho fear that they will begathered before theirLord, for them there willbe no protector and nointercessor besides ,so that they may becomerighteous.

And do not send awaythose who call

(is) on youoftheir account[of]anything,and notfromyour account

on them[of]anything.So were you to send them away,then you would beof

the wrongdoers.52And thusWe trysome of themwith others

that they say,“Are these(whom) Allah has favored[upon them]fromamong us?”

Is not Allahmost knowingof those who are grateful?53And when

come to youthose whobelievein Our Versesthen say,“Peace(be) upon you.

Your Lord has prescribeduponHimselfthe Mercy,that hewho

among you doesevilin ignorancethenrepentsafter itand reforms,

then, indeed He(is) Oft-Forgiving,Most Merciful.”54And thusWe explain

the Verses,so that becomes manifest(the) way(of) the criminals.55

Say,“Indeed I[I] am forbiddenthatI worshipthose whomyou call

besides Allah.”Say,“NotI followyour (vain) desires,certainlyI would go astray

then,and notI (would be)fromthe guided-ones.”56Say,“Indeed, I (am)

onclear prooffrommy Lord,while you deny[with] it.NotI have

their Lord in the morningand the evening, seeking

Countenance. Notupon you is anything oftheir account and notupon them is anything ofyour account. So wereyou to send them away,you would then be of thewrongdoers.

And thus try someof them through othersthat they say, “Are thesewhom Allah has favoredamong us?” Is not Allahmost knowing of thosewho are grateful?

And when those whobelieve in Versescome to you, say, “Peacebe upon you. Your Lordhas prescribed Mercyupon , so thatwhoever of you does evilin ignorance and thenreforms himself afterthat, then indeed,is Oft-Forgiving, MostMerciful.”

And thus explainthe Verses, so that theway of the criminalsbecome manifest.

Say, “Indeed, I amforbidden to worshipthose whom you callbesides Allah.” Say, “Iwill not follow your vaindesires, for I would thengo astray, and I wouldnot be of the guided-ones.”

Say, “Indeed, I am onclear proof from myLord, while you deny it. Ido not have

the truth,and He(is the) best(of) the Deciders.”57Say,“Ifthat

(were) with mewhatyou seek to hastenof it,surely would have been decided

the matterbetween meand between you.And Allah(is) most knowing

of the wrongdoers.58And with Him(are the) keys(of) the unseen,no (one)

knows themexceptHim.And He knowswhat(is) inthe landand in the sea.

And notfallsany leafbutHe knows it.And nota grainin

the darkness[es](of) the earthand notmoistand notdrybut(is) in

a RecordClear.59And He(is) the One Whotakes your (soul)by the night

and He knowswhatyou committedby the day.ThenHe raises you uptherein,

so that is fulfilled(the) termspecified.Thento Himwill be your returnthen

He will inform youabout whatyou used todo.60And He

(is) the SubjugatoroverHis slaves,and He sendsover youguardiansuntil

whencomes(to) anyone of youthe deathtake himOur messengers,and they

(do) notfail.61Thenthey are returnedtoAllahtheir Protector -

what you seek to hasten(i.e., the punishment).The decision is only forAllah. relates thetruth, and is the bestof the Deciders.”

Say, “If I had what youseek to hasten, surelythe matter would havebeen decided betweenme and you.AndAllah ismost knowing of thewrongdoers.”

And with arethe keys of the unseen,none knows them except

And knowswhat is on the land and inthe sea. And not a leaffalls but knows it.And there is not agrain in the darkness ofthe earth and notanything moist or drybut is written in a ClearRecord.

And is thetakes your (souls)

by night andknows what you havecommitted by day. Then

raises you up thereinso that the specified termis fulfilled. Then towill be your return, then

will inform you aboutwhat you used to do.

And is theSubjugator overslaves, and sendsover you guardians(Angels) until, whendeath comes to one ofyou, messengers(i.e., the angels of death)take him, and they do notfail (in their duties).

Then they are returnedto Allah, their TrueProtector.

[the] True,Unquestionably,for Him(is) the judgment?And He(is) swiftest

(of) the Reckoners.62Say,“Whosaves youfromdarkness[es](of) the land

and the sea,you call Himhumblyand secretly,‘IfHe saves usfromthis,

surely we will befromthe grateful ones.”’63Say,“Allahsaves youfrom it

and fromeverydistress,yetyouassociate partners (with Allah).”64

Say,“He(is) All-Capable[on]tosendupon youpunishmentfrom

above youorfrombeneathyour feetor(to) confuse you(into) sects

and make (you) taste -some of youviolence(of) others.”SeehowWe explain

the Signsso that they mayunderstand.65But deniedit -your people

while it(is) the truth.Say,“I am notover youa manager.”66

For everynews(is) a fixed time,and soonyou will know.67And when

you seethose whoengage (in vain talks)aboutOur Verses,then turn awayfrom them

untilthey engageina talkother than it.And ifcauses you to forget

the Shaitaan,then (do) notsitafterthe reminderwiththe people -

the wrongdoers.68And not(is) onthose whofear (Allah)of

Unquestionably, foris the judgment. Andis the swiftest of theReckoners.

Say, “Who rescues youfrom the darknesses ofthe land and sea (when)you call humblyand secretly (saying), ‘If

saves us from this,surely we will be amongthe grateful ones.’”

Say, “Allah saves youfrom it and from everydistress, yet you associatepartners (withAllah).”

Say, “ isAll-Capableto send upon youpunishment from aboveyou or from beneathyour feet or to confuseyou into sects and makeyou taste the violence ofone another.” See how

explain the Signsso that you mayunderstand.

But your people havedenied it, while it is thetruth. Say, “I am not amanager over you.”

For every news is afixed time, and soon youwill know.

And when you seethose who engage (invain talks) concerning

Verses, then turnaway from them untilthey engage in a talkother than that. And ifShaitaan causes you toforget, then do not sitafter the reminder withthe wrongdoing people.

And those who fearAllah are not

69And leavethose whotaketheir religion(as) a playand amusement

and deluded themthe life(of) the world.But remindwith it,lest

is given up to destructiona soulfor whatit (has) earned,not(is) for it

besidesAllahany protectorand notany intercessor.And if

it offers ransom -everyransom,notwill it be takenfrom it.Those

(are) ones whoare given to destructionfor whatthey earned.For them

(will be) a drinkofboiling waterand a punishmentpainfulbecausethey used to

disbelieve.70Say,“Shall we callbesidesAllahwhat

notand notharms us,and we turn backonour heels benefits us

after[when]Allah has guided us?Like the onewhom the Shaitaan has enticedin

the earth,confused,he hascompanionswho call himtowardsthe guidance,

‘Come to us.’”Say,“Indeed,(the) Guidance(of) Allah,it(is) the Guidance,

and we have been commandedthat we submitto (the) Lord(of) the worlds71

And toestablishthe prayerand fear Him.And He(is) the Oneto Him

accountable for them(i.e., the disbelievers) atall, but (only for a)reminder, so that theymay fearAllah.

And leave those whotake their religion asplay and amusementand deluded them theworldly life. But remindwith it, lest a soul begiven up to destructionfor what it earned, it willnot have besides Allahany protector nor anyintercessor. And if itoffers every ransom, itwould not be acceptedfrom it (i.e., the soul).Those are the ones whoare given to destructionfor what they earned.For them will be a drinkof boiling water anda painful punishmentbecause they used todisbelieve.

Say, “Shall we invokebesides Allah that whichneither benefits us norharms us, and turn backon our heels after Allahhas guided us? Likethe one whom Shaitaanenticed in the earthconfused, (while) he hascompanions inviting himto guidance saying,‘Come to us.’” Say,“Indeed, the Guidanceof Allah is the (only)Guidance, and we havebeen commanded tosubmit to the Lord ofthe worlds

And to establish prayerand fear . And it is

75So whencoveredover himthe night,he sawa star.

He said,“This(is) my Lord.”But whenit set,he said“I (do) not like

the ones that set.”76Whenhe sawthe moonrisinghe said,

“This(is) my Lord.”But whenit sethe said,“If(does) not

guide memy Lord,I will surely beamongthe peoplewho went astray.”

77Whenhe sawthe sunrisinghe said,“This (is)

my Lord,this (is)greater.”But whenit set,he said,“O my people!


you will be gathered.

And it iscreated the heavens andthe earth in truth. Andthe Day says, “Be”and it is, word is thetruth. And is theDominion on the Day thetrumpet will be blown.

is the All-Knower ofthe unseen and the seen.And is the All-Wise,theAll-Aware.

And when Ibrahim saidto his father Aazar, “Doyou take idols as gods?Indeed, I see you andyour people in manifesterror.”

And thus showedIbrahim the kingdom ofthe heavens and theearth, so that he wouldbe among those who arecertain (in faith).

So when the nightcovered him, he saw astar. He said, “This is myLord.” But when it set,he said, “I do not like theones that set.”

When he saw the moonrising, he said, “This ismy lord.” But when itset, he said, “If my Lorddoes not guide me, Iwill surely be amongthe people who wentastray.”

When he saw the sunrising, he said, “This ismy Lord; this is greater.”But when it set, he said,“O my people!

Indeed, I am free of whatyou associate (withAllah).”

Indeed, I have turnedmy face to thecreated the heavens andthe earth as a truemonotheist, and I am notof those who associatepartners withAllah.

And his people arguedwith him. He said, “Doyou argue with meconcerning Allah while

has guided me?And I do not fear whatyou associate with ,unless my Lord willssomething. My Lordencompasses all thingsin knowledge; then willyou not take heed?

And how could I fearwhat you associate withAllah while you do notfear that you haveassociated with Allahthat for which did notsend down to you anyauthority. So which ofthe two parties has moreright to security, if youknow.”

Those who believe anddo not mix their beliefwith wrong, those willhave security, and theyare rightly guided.

And this isargument whichgave Ibrahim againsthis people. raise bydegrees whom will.Indeed, your Lord is All-Wise,All-Knowing.

And bestowed tohim Ishaq and Yaqub, all(of them) guided.

Allahwhile certainlyHe has guided me?And I (do) not fearwhatyou associate

with Him,unless[that]my Lord willsanything.Encompassesmy Lord

everything(in) knowledge.Then will notyou take heed?80

And howcould I fearwhatyou associate (with Allah)while notyou fear

that youhave associatedwith AllahwhatHe did not send downfor itto you

any authority.So which(of) the two partieshas more rightto securityifyou

know?”81Those whobelievedand (did) notmixtheir belief

with wrong,those,for them,(is) the securityand they(are) rightly guided.82

And this(is) Our argument,We gave it(to) Ibrahimagainsthis people.We raise

(by) degreeswhomWe will.Indeed,your Lord(is) All-Wise,All-Knowing.

83And We bestowedto himIshaqand Yaqub,allWe guided.

Surah 6: The cattle (v. 79-84)

And Nuh,We guidedbefore;and ofhis descendents,Dawoodand Sulaiman

and Ayyuband Yusufand Musaand Harun.And thusWe rewardthe good-doers.

84And Zakariyaand Yahyaand Isaand Ilyas -all (were)of

the righteous.85And Ismailand Al-Yasaaand Yunusand Lut,

and allWe preferredoverthe worlds.86And fromtheir fathers

and their descendentsand their brothers -and We chose themand We guided them

We have entrustedit(to) a peoplewho are notthereindisbelievers.89

Those(are) ones whomAllah has guided,so of their guidanceyou follow.Say,

“NotI ask youfor itany reward.It (is) notbuta reminder

for the worlds.”90And (did) notthey appraiseAllah(with) His true appraisal,

And Nuh, guidedbefore; and of hisdescendents Dawoodand Sulaiman andAyyuband Yusuf and Musa andHarun. And thusreward the good-doers.

And Zakariya andYahya and Isa and Ilyas -all were of the righteous.

And Ismail and Al-Yasaa and Yunus andLut, all preferredover the worlds.

And from their fathersand their descendentsand their brothers -chose them andguided them to a straightpath.

That is the Guidanceof Allah by whichguides whom willsof slaves. But if theyhad associated partnerswith Allah, surely wouldhave become worthlessfor them what they usedto do.

Those are the oneswhom gave the Bookand the judgment andthe Prophethood. Butif they disbelieve in it,then indeed, haveentrusted it to a peoplewho are not disbelieverstherein.

Those are the oneswhom Allah has guided,so you follow theirguidance. Say, “I do notask you for it any reward.It is not but a reminderfor the worlds.”

when they said, “Allahdid not reveal to a humanbeing anything.” Say,“Who revealed the Bookwhich Musa brought aslight and guidance forthe people? You makeit into parchments,disclosing (some of it)and concealing much (ofit). And you were taughtthat which you did notknow - neither you noryour forefathers.” Say,“Allah (revealed it).”Then leave them to playin their (vain) discourse.

And this is a Book,which have revealed,blessed and confirmingwhat was before it, sothat you may warn themother of the cities(i.e., Makkah) and thosearound it. Those whobelieve in the Hereafterthey believe in it, andthey guard their prayers.

And who is more unjustthan one who invents alie about Allah or says,“It has been inspired tome,” while nothing hasbeen inspired to him, andone who says, “I willreveal like what Allahhas revealed.” And ifyou could see when thewrongdoers are in theagonies of death whilethe Angels are stretchingtheir hands (saying),“Discharge your souls!Today you will berecompensed

other thanthe truthand you weretowardsHis Versesbeing arrogant.”93

And certainlyyou have come to UsaloneasWe created you(the) first

time,and you have leftwhateverWe bestowed (on) youbehindyour backs.

And notWe seewith youyour intercessorsthose whomyou claimed

that they (were)in your (matters)partners (with Allah).Indeed,

have been severed (bonds)between youand is lostfrom youwhat

you used toclaim.”94Indeed,Allah(is the) Cleaver(of) the grain

and the date-seed.He brings forththe livingfromthe deadand brings forth

the deadfromthe living.That(is) Allah,so howare you deluded?

95(He is the) Cleaver(of) the daybreakand He has madethe night(for) rest

and the sunand the moon(for) reckoning.That(is the) ordaining(of) the All-Mighty,

the All-Knowing.96And He(is) the One Whomadefor youthe stars

that you may guide yourselveswith theminthe darkness[es](of) the land

and the sea.Certainly,We have made clearthe Signsfor a people(who) know.

with a humiliatingpunishment because youused to say against Allahother than the truth andyou were being arroganttowards Verses.”

(It will be said to them),“And you have certainlycome to alone ascreated you the firsttime, and you have leftwhatever bestowedupon you behind yourbacks. And do notsee with you yourintercessors whom youclaimed to be partnerswith Allah in yourmatters. Indeed, thebond has been severedbetween you, and is lostfrom you what you usedto claim.”

Indeed, Allah is theCleaver of the grain andthe date-seed. bringsforth the living from thedead and brings forth thedead from the living.That is Allah, so how areyou deluded?

is the Cleaver ofthe daybreak andhas made the night forrest and the sun andthe moon for reckoning.That is the ordaining ofthe All-Mighty, the All-Knowing.

And is themade for you the

stars, so that you maybe guided by them inthe darkness of the landand the sea. Certainly,

have made clear theSigns for a people whoknow.

bring forth thickcluster of grains. And fromthe date-palm, from itsspathe are clusters of dateshanging low. And gardensof grapes and olives andpomegranates, resemblingand yet different. Look atits fruit when it bears fruitand its ripening. Indeed, inthese are Signs for a peoplewho believe.

And they make thejinn partners with Allahthough has createdthem, and they falselyattribute sons anddaughters to withoutknowledge. Glorified is

and Exalted abovewhat they attribute.

Originator of theheavens and the earth.How can have ason when does nothave a companion and

created everything?And is All-Knowerof everything.

97And He(is) the One Who(has) produced youfroma single soul,

so (there is) a place of dwellingand a resting place.Certainly,We have made clear

the Signsfor a people(who) understand.98And He(is) the One Who

sends downfromthe skywater,then We bring forthwith itvegetation

(of) everything.Then We bring forthfrom itgreen plant,We bring forth

from itgrain -thick clustered.And fromthe date-palm,from

Howcan befor Hima sonwhile not(there) isfor Hima companion,

and He createdeverything?And He(is) of everything

All-Knower.101That(is) Allahyour Lord,(there is) no

godexceptHim,(the) Creator(of) every

thing,so worship Him.And He(is) onevery

thinga Guardian.102(Can) notgrasp Him

the visionsbut He(can) grasp(all) the vision,and He (is)

the All-Subtle,the All-Aware.103Verily,has come to you

enlightenmentfromyour Lord.Then whoever

sees,then (it is) for his soul,and whoever(is) blind

then (it is) against himself.And I am notover youa guardian.

104And thusWe explainthe Signsthat they (may) say,

“You have studied,”and that We (may) make it clearfor a people

who know.105Follow,whathas been inspired

to youfromyour Lord,(there is) nogod

exceptHim,and turn awayfromthe polytheists.

Verily, there has cometo you enlightenmentfrom your Lord. Thenwhoever sees does so forhis soul, and whoever isblind then it is againsthimself. And I am not aguardian over you.

And thus explainthe Signs so that theymay say, “You havestudied,” and thatmay make it clear for apeople who know.

Follow what has beeninspired to you fromyour Lord, there is nogod except , andturn away from thosewho associate partnerswithAllah.

And if Allah hadwilled, they would nothave

made you a guardianover them nor are you amanager over them.

And do not insultthose whom they invokeother than Allah, lestthey insult Allahin enmity withoutknowledge. Thushave made fair-seemingto every communitytheir deeds. Then to theirLord is their return, then

will inform themabout what they used todo.

And they swear byAllah their strongestoaths that if a sign cameto them, they wouldsurely believe in it. Say,“The signs are only withAllah.” And what willmake you perceive thateven if it (i.e., a sign)came, they will notbelieve.

And will turntheir hearts and theirsights just as they didnot believe in it thefirst time. And willleave them in theirtransgression, wanderingblindly.

And We will turntheir heartsand their sights(just) asnot

they believein it(the) firsttime.And We will leave them

intheir transgressionwandering blindly.110

And (even) if[that] We (had)[We] sent downto themthe Angels

and spoken to themthe deadand We gatheredbefore themeverything

face to face,notthey wereto believeunless[that]Allah wills.

Butmost of them(are) ignorant.111And thusWe madefor every

Prophetan enemy -devils(from) the mankindand the jinn,inspiringsome of them

toothers(with) decorative[the] speech(in) deception.But ifyour Lord had willed

they (would) not have done it,so leave themand whatthey invent.112

And so that inclineto ithearts(of) those who(do) notbelieve

in the Hereafter,and so that they may be pleased with itand so that they may commit

whatthey(are) committing.113“Then is (it) other thanAllahI seek

(as) judge,while He(is) the One Whohas revealedto youthe Book

explained in detail?”And those (to) whomWe gave themthe Book,they know

that it(is) sent downfromyour Lordin truth,so (do) notbeamong

the ones who doubt.114And (has been) fulfilled(the) word(of) your Lord

(in) truthand justice.Noone can changeHis words,and He(is) the All-Hearer,

And even if hadsent down to themAngelsand the dead hadspoken to them andhad gathered everythingbefore them, they wouldnot have believed unlessAllah willed. But mostof them are ignorant.

And thus havemade for every Prophetan enemy - devils frommankind and jinn,inspiring one anotherwith decorative speechin deception. But if yourLord had willed, theywould not have done it,so leave them and whatthey invent.

And so that the heartsof those who disbelievein the Hereafter willincline towards it(deceptive speech), andso that they may bepleased with it and sothat they may committhat which they arecommitting.

“Then is it other thanAllah I should seek asjudge while it ishas revealed to you theBookexplainedindetail?”And those to whomgave the Book know thatit is sent down from yourLord in truth, so do notbe among the doubters.

And the word of yourLord has been fulfilled intruth and justice. Nonecan change words,and is the All-Hearer,theAll-Knower.

And if you obey mostof those on the earth,they will mislead youfrom the way of Allah.They follow nothingexcept assumption, andthey are only guessing.

Indeed, your Lordknows best who straysfrom way, andknows best the guided-ones.

So eat of that on whichthe name of Allah hasbeen mentioned, if youbelieve in Verses.

And why should younot eat of that on whichAllah’s name has beenmentioned, while hasexplained in detail to youwhat has forbidden toyou, except that to whichyou are compelled. Andindeed, many surely leadastray by their vaindesires without knowledge.Indeed, your Lord - ismost knowing of thetransgressors.

Forsake all sins, openand secret. Indeed, thosewho earn sin, they willbe recompensed for whatthey used to commit.

And do not eat of thaton which Allah’s namehas not been mentioned,for indeed, it is gravedisobedience. And indeedthe devils inspire theirfriends to dispute withyou.

the All-Knower.115And ifyou obeymostof(those) in

the earththey will mislead youfrom(the) way(of) Allah.Not

they followexcept[the] assumption,and notthey (do)exceptguess.

116Indeed,your Lord,Heknows bestwhostraysfromHis way,

and He(is) most knowingof the guided-ones.117So eatof what

(is) mentioned(the) name(of) Allahon it,ifyou arein His Verses -believers.

118And whatfor youthat notyou eatof whathas been mentioned

Allah’s nameon it,when indeed,He (has) explained in detailto youwhat

He (has) forbiddento youexceptwhatyou are compelledto it.And indeed,

manysurely lead astrayby their (vain) desireswithoutknowledge.Indeed,your Lord,

He(is) most knowingof the transgressors.119Forsakeopen[the] sins

and the secret.Indeed,those whoearn[the] sinthey will be recompensed

for whatthey used tocommit.120And (do) noteatof that,

nothas been mentionedAllah’s nameon it,and indeed, it (is)grave disobedience.

And indeed,the devilsinspiretotheir friendsso that they dispute with you,

and ifyou obey them,indeed, you(would) be the polytheists.121Is

(one) whowasdeadand We gave him lifeand We madefor himlight,

he walkswherebyamongthe people,like (one) who[similar to him](is) in

the darknesses,nothe comes outof it?Thusis made fair-seeming

to the disbelieverswhatthey weredoing.122And thusWe placed

ineverycitygreatest(of) its criminals,so that they plottherein.And not

they plotexceptagainst themselvesand notthey perceive.123And when

comes to thema Signthey say,“Neverwe will believeuntilwe are givenlike

whatwas given(to the) Messengers(of) Allah.”Allahknows bestwhere

He placesHis Message.Will afflictthose whocommitted crimesa humiliation

fromAllahand a punishmentseverefor whatthey used toplot.124

So whoeverAllah wantsthatHe guides him -He expandshis breastto Islam;

and whoeverHe wantsthatHe lets him go astrayHe makeshis breast

tightand constrictedas thoughhe (were) climbingintothe sky.Thus

Allah placesthe filthonthose who(do) notbelieve.125


And if you were to obeythem, indeed you wouldbe those who associatepartners with .

Is one who was deadand gave him lifeand made for him lightwhereby he can walkamong people like onewho is in darkness, hecannot come out of it?Thus is made fair-seeming to thedisbelievers what theywere doing.

And thus haveplaced in every city thegreatest of its criminalsto plot therein. And notthey plot except againstthemselves and they donot perceive.

And when a Signcomes to them they say,“We will never believeuntil we are given thelike of that which wasgiven to the Messengersof Allah.” Allah knowsbest where He placesHis Message. Thosewho committed crimeswill be afflicted byhumiliation and a severepunishment from Allahforwhat theyused toplot.

So whoever Allahwants to guide,expands his breast toIslam; and whoeverwants to let go astray,makes his breast tightand constricted asthough he were climbinginto the sky. Thus Allahplaces filth on those whodo not believe.

And this is the wayof your Lord, straight.Certainly, havedetailed the Verses for apeople who take heed.

For them will be thehome of peace (Paradise)with their Lord. Andwill be their protectingfriend because of whatthey used to do.

And the Day willgather them together,(and will say), “Oassembly of jinn!Certainly you have(misled) many ofmankind.” And theirfriends among men willsay, “Our Lord, some ofus profited by others,and we have reachedour term whichappointed for us.”will say, “The Fire isyour abode, whereinyou will abide forever,except what Allah wills.Indeed, your Lord is All-Wise,All-Knowing.

And thus makesome of the wrongdoersfriends of others becauseofwhat theyused toearn.

O assembly of jinnand men! Did there notcome to you Messengersfrom among you, relatingto you Verses andwarning you of themeeting of this Day ofyours?” They will say,“We bear witness againstourselves.” And the lifeof this world deludedthem, and they willbear witness againstthemselves that theywere disbelievers.

And this(is the) way(of) your Lord -straight.CertainlyWe have detailedthe Verses

for a peoplewho take heed.126For them(will be) home(of) [the] peacewith

their Lord.And He(will be) their protecting friendbecause(of what) they used to

do.127And (the) DayHe will gather themall,

(and will say), “O assembly(of) [the] jinn!Certainly,you have (misled) manyof

the mankind.”And will say their friendsamongthe men,“Our Lordprofited

some of usby others,and we have reachedour termwhichYou appointedfor us.”

He will say,“The Fire(is) your abode,will abide foreverin it,except(for) what

Allah willsIndeed,your Lord(is) All-Wise,All-Knowing.128And thus

We make friends,some (of)the wrongdoers(to) othersfor whatthey used to

earn.129O assembly(of) [the] jinnand [the] men!Did (there) not

come to youMessengersfrom (among) you,relatingto youMy Verses

and warning you(of the) meeting(of) this day of yours?”They will say,“We bear witness

againstourselves.”And deluded themthe life(of) the world,and they will bear witness

againstthemselvesthat theyweredisbelievers.130

That (is because)[that]notisyour Lordone who destroysthe cities

for (their) wrongdoingwhile their people(are) unaware.131And for all

(will be) degreesfor whatthey did.And not(is) your Lordunawareabout what

they do.132And your Lord(is) the Self-SufficientOwner of Mercy.

IfHe willsHe can take you awayand grant successionafter you

(to) whomHe wills.asHe raised youfromthe descendants

(of) other people.133Indeed,whatyou are promised

(is) sure to come.And you (can)notescape (it).134Say,“O my people!

Workonyour position.Indeed, I ama worker.And soon

you will knowwhowill havefor himself(a good) home (in) the end.Indeed [he],

(will) notsucceedthe wrongdoers.”135And they assignto Allah

out of whatHe producedofthe cropsand the cattlea share

and they say,“This(is) for Allah,”by their claim,“And this(is) for our partners.”

But whatisfor their partners(does) notreach[to]

Allah,while whatisfor Allahthen itreaches[to]

That is because yourLord does not destroythe cities for theirwrongdoing while theirpeople are unaware.

And for all will bedegrees for what theydid.And your Lord is notunaware of what they do.

And your Lord isSelf-Sufficient, Ownerof Mercy. If wills,can take you away andgrant succession afteryou to whom wills,just as raised youfrom the descendants ofother people.

Indeed, what you arepromised will surelycome, and you cannotescape.

Say, “O my people!Work according to yourposition. Indeed, I amalso working. And soonyou will know who willhave for himself a (good)home in the end. Indeed,the wrongdoers will notsucceed.”

And they assign toAllah out of whatproduced of the cropsand the cattle a share andsay, “This is for Allah,”by their claim, “And thisis for our partners.” Butwhat is for their partnersdoes not reach Allah,while what is for Allahreaches

their partners. Evil iswhat they judge.

Likewise, to manyof those who associatepartners withAllah, theirpartners have madepleasing the killing oftheir children so thatthey may ruin them andmake confusing to themtheir religion. And ifAllah had willed, theywould not have done so.So leave them and whatthey invent.

And they say, “Thesecattle and crops areforbidden, none can eatthem except whom wewill,” by their claim.Andthere are cattle whosebacks are forbidden; andthey do not mention thename of Allah as aninvention against .

will recompensethem for what they usedto invent.

And they say, “Whatis in the wombs of thesecattle is exclusively forour males and forbiddento our spouses. But if it is(born) dead, then all ofthem have a share in it.”

will punish them fortheir attribution. Indeed,

is All-Wise, All-Knowing.

Certainly, are lostthose who killed theirchildren in foolishnesswithout knowledge andforbid what Allah hasprovided them, inventing(lies) againstAllah.

made pleasingto manyofthe polytheists -(the) killing

(of) their children -their partners -so that they may ruin them

and that they make confusingto themtheir religion.And ifAllah had willed

they (would) not have done so.So leave themand whatthey invent.137

And they say,“Thesecattleand crops(are) forbidden,no (one)can eat them

exceptwhomwe will,”by their claim.And cattle,forbidden(are) their backs

and cattlenotthey mention(the) name (of) Allahon it(as) an invention

against Him.He will recompense themfor whatthey used toinvent.

138And they say,“What(is) in(the) wombs(of) thesecattle

(is) exclusivelyfor our malesand forbiddenonour spouses.But if

is(born) dead,then they (all)(are) partners in it.”He will recompense them

(for) their attribution.Indeed, He(is) All-Wise,All-Knowing.139Certainly,

(are) lostthose whokilledtheir children(in) foolishnesswithoutknowledge

and forbidwhatAllah has provided them -inventing (lies)againstAllah.

Certainly,and notthey areguided-ones..140 they have gone astray

And He(is) the One Whoproducedgardenstrellisedand other than

trellisedand the date-palmand the crops,diverse(are) its taste,and the olives

and the pomegranatessimilarand other thansimilar.Eatof

its fruitwhenit bears fruit,and giveits due(on the) day(of) its harvest.

And (do) not(be) extravagant.Indeed, He(does) notlove

the ones who are extravagant.141And ofthe cattle(are some for) burden

and (some for) meat.Eatof whatAllah (has) provided you,and (do) not

follow(the) footsteps(of) Shaitaan.Indeed, he(is) to youan enemyopen.

the goatstwo.Say,“(Are) the two malesHe has forbiddenor the two females

or what contains[in it](the) wombs(of) the two females?Inform me

with knowledge,ifyou aretruthful.”143And ofthe camels

twoand ofthe cowstwo.Say,“(Is it) the two males

He (has) forbiddenor the two femalesor what contains[in it](the) wombs


Certainly, they havegone astray and theyare not guided.

And is theproduces gardens,

trellised and untrellised,and the date-palm andthe crops of diversetaste, and olives andpomegranates, similarand dissimilar. Eat of itsfruit when it bears fruitand give its due on theday of its harvest. Anddo not be extravagant.Indeed, does notlove those who areextravagant.

And of the cattle aresome for burden andsome for meat. Eat ofwhat Allah has providedyou and do not follow thefootsteps of Shaitaan.Indeed, he is your openenemy.

Eight pairs - of thesheep two and of thegoats two. Say, “Is it thetwo males hasforbidden or the twofemales or that which thewombs of the two femalescontain? Inform me withknowledge, if you aretruthful.”

And of the camelstwo and of the cows two.Say, “Is it the two males

with this?Then who(is) more unjustthan (one) whoinventsagainstAllah

a lieto misleadthe peoplewithoutknowledge?Indeed,Allah

(does) notguidethe wrongdoing people.”144Say,“I (do) not find

inwhathas been revealedto me(anything) forbiddentoan eater

who eats itexceptthatit bedeadorbloodpoured forth

or(the) flesh(of) swine -for indeed, it(is) filth -or(it be) disobedience,

[is] dedicatedto other thanAllah[on it].But whoever(is) compellednot

desiringand nottransgressing,then indeed,your Lord(is) Oft-Forgiving,

Most Merciful.”145And tothose whoare JewsWe forbadeevery

(animal) with claws,and ofthe cowsand the sheepWe forbadeto them

their fatexceptwhatcarriedtheir backsorthe entrails

orwhat(is) joinedwith the bone.That(is) their recompensefor their rebellion.

And indeed, We[surely] are truthful.146But ifthey deny youthen say,

“Your Lord(is the) Possessor of MercyVast,but notwill be turned backHis wrath

of the two femalescontain? Or were youwitnesses when Allahenjoined you with this?Then who is more unjustthan one who invents alie against Allah tomislead the peoplewithout knowledge?Indeed, Allah does notlike the wrongdoingpeople.”

Say, “I do not find inwhat has been revealedto me (anything)forbidden to anyone whowould eat it except that itbe dead or blood pouredforth or the flesh ofswine - for indeed, it isfilth - or it be (slaughteredin) disobedience,dedicated to other thanAllah. But whoever iscompelled (by necessity)neither desiring (it) nortransgressing (its limit),then indeed, your Lord isOft-Forgiving, MostMerciful. ”

And to those who areJews forbade every(animal) with claws, andof the cows and thesheep forbade tothem their fat exceptwhat adheres to theirbacks or their entrailsor what is joined withthe bone. That is theirrecompense for theirrebellion. And indeed,

are truthful.

But if they deny you,then say, “Your Lord isthe Possessor of VastMercy, but wrathwill not be repelled

associate partners (with Allah),“IfAllah had willed,not

we (would) have associated partners (with Allah)and notour forefathersand not

we (would) have forbidden[of]anything.”Likewisedeniedthose who

(were) before themuntilthey tastedOur wrath.Say,“Is

with you[of]any knowledgethen produce itfor us?Not

you followexceptthe assumption,and notyou (do)butguess.”

148Say,“With Allah(is) the argument -the conclusive.And if

He (had) willed,surely He (would) have guided youall.”149Say,

“Bring forwardyour witnesses,those whotestifythatAllah

prohibitedthis.”Then ifthey testifythen (do) nottestifywith them.

And (do) notfollow(the) desires(of) those whodeniedOur Signsand those who

(do) notbelievein the Hereafter,while theywith their Lordset up equals.

150Say,“Come,I will recitewhathas prohibitedyour Lord

to you.That (do) notassociatewith Himanything,and with the parents


from the people who arecriminals.”

Those who associatepartners (with Allah)will say, “If Allah hadwilled, we would nothave associated partners(with Allah) and neitherwould our forefathers,nor we would haveforbidden anything.”Likewise had deniedthose before them untilthey tasted wrath.Say, “Do you haveany knowledge, thenproduce it for us? Youfollow nothing exceptassumption, and you donothing but guess.”

Say, “With Allah isthe conclusive argument.Then if had willed,surely would haveguided you all.”

Say, “Bring forwardyour witnesses who willtestify that Allah hasprohibited this.” Then ifthey testify, then do nottestify with them. Anddo not follow the desiresof those who denySigns and those whodo not believe in theHereafter, while they setup equals with theirLord.

Say, “Come, I willrecite what your Lordhas prohibited to you.( commands) that donot associate anythingwith , and be goodto parents;

and do not kill yourchildren for fear ofpoverty, providefor you and for them.And do not approachimmoralities whetherapparent or concealed.And do not kill thesoul, which Allah hasforbidden except by(legal) right. This hasenjoined on you so thatyou may use reason.”

And do not approachtheorphan’swealthexceptin a way that is best untilhe reaches maturity. Andgive full measure andweight in justice. donot burden any soulexcept to its capacity.And when you speakthen be just, even if (itconcerns) a near relative.And fulfil the Covenantof Allah. This hasenjoined on you so thatyou may remember.

And this is straightpath, so follow it.And donot follow other paths,lest they will separateyou from path. This

has enjoined on you,so that you may becomerighteous.

Moreover,gave Musa the Book,completing ( Favor)on the one who did goodand an explanation ofeverything and a guidanceand mercy, so that theymay

a near relative.And (the) Covenant(of) Allahfulfil.That

(He) has enjoined on youwith itso that you mayremember.152And that,

this(is) My straight path,so follow it.And (do) notfollowthe (other) paths,

then they will separate youfromHis path.That(He) has enjoined on you

[with it]so that you maybecome righteous.153MoreoverWe gave

Musathe Book,completing (Our Favor)onthe one whodid good

and an explanationof everything,and a guidanceand mercy,so that they may -

We have revealed it -blessed,so follow itand fear (Allah)so that you may

receive mercy.155Lestyou say,“Onlywas revealedthe Book

onthe two groupsbefore us,and indeedwe wereabouttheir study

certainly unaware.”156oryou say,“If[that]was revealedto us

the Booksurely we (would) have beenbetter guidedthan them.So verily

has come to youclear proofsfromyour Lordand a Guidanceand a Mercy.

Then who(is) more unjustthan (he) whodenies[with] (the) Verses(of) Allah,

and turns awayfrom them?We will recompensethose whoturn awayfrom

Our Signs(with) an evilpunishmentbecausethey used toturn away.157

Arethey waitingexceptthatcomes to themthe Angelsorcomes

your Lordorcomessome (of)(the) Signs(of) your Lord?(The) Day

(when) comessome (of)(the) Signs(of) your Lord,notwill benefita soul

its faith,(if) it had notbelievedbeforeorearnedthrough

its faithany good.Say,“Wait.Indeed, we(are) those who wait.”158


believe in the meetingwith their Lord.

And this is a blessedBook which haverevealed, so follow it andfear Allah so that youmay receive mercy.

( revealed it) lestyou say, “The Book wasonly revealed to the twogroups before us, andindeed we were unawareabout their study.”

Or lest you say, “Ifonly the Book had beenrevealed to us, surely, wewould have been betterguided than them. Sothere has come to youclear proofs from yourLord and a Guidance andMercy. Then who ismore unjust than onewho denies the Verses ofAllah and turns awayfrom them? willrecompense those whoturn away fromVerses with an evilpunishment becausethey used to turn away.

Are they waiting tosee if the Angels come tothem or your Lord comesto them or some of theSigns of your Lord cometo them? On the Daywhen some of the Signsof your Lord will come,no soul will benefit fromits faith if it had notbelieved before or hadearned through its faithsome good. Say, “Wait.Indeed, we too arewaiting.”

Indeed, those whodivide their religion andbecome sects, you (OMuhammad SAWS!) arenot (associated) withthem in anything. Theiraffair is only with Allah,then will informthem about what theyused to do.

Whoever comes witha good deed will have tentimes the like of it. Andwhoever comes with anevil deed will not berecompensed except thelike of it, and they willnot be wronged.

Say, “Indeed as forme, my Lord has guidedme to a straight path -a right religion - thereligion of Ibrahim, atrue monotheist. And hewas not of those whoassociated partners withAllah.

Say, “Indeed myprayer, my rites ofsacrifice, my living andmy dying are for Allah,Lord of the worlds.

has no partner;and this I have beencommanded. And I amthe first of those whosurrender to .

Say, “Is it other thanAllah I should seek as aLord, while is theLord of everything?”And no soul earns (evil)except against itself, andno bearer of burdenwill bear the burden ofanother. Then to yourLord is your return, then

will inform youabout what you used todiffer.

Indeed,those whodividetheir religionand becomesects,you are notwith them

in anything.Onlytheir affair(is) withAllah,thenHe will inform themof what

they used todo.159Whoevercamewith a good deed,then for him

(is) ten (times)the like of it.And whoevercamewith an evil deedthen not

he will be recompensedexceptthe like of it,and theywill not be wronged.160

Say,“Indeed (as for) me,has guided memy Lordtoa straight path -

a religionright,religion(of) Ibrahim -a true monotheist.And nothe wasfrom

the polytheists.161Say,“Indeed,my prayer,and my rites of sacrifice,

and my living,and my dying(are) for Allah,Lord(of) the worlds.162No

partnersfor Him;and with thatI have been commanded.And I am(the) first

(of) the ones who surrender (to Him).163Say,“Is (it) other thanAllah

I (should) seek(as) a Lord,while He(is) the Lord(of) everything?”And not

earnseverysoulexceptagainst itself,and notbears

any bearer of burden,burden(of) another.Thentoyour Lord(is) your return

then He will inform youabout whatyou wereconcerning itdiffering.164

and raisedsome of youaboveothers(in) ranks,so that He may test you

inwhatHe has given you.Indeed,your Lord(is) swift(in) the punishment,

and indeed, He (is)[certainly], Oft-Forgiving,Most Merciful.165
