INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO COCA-COLA-03/03/14
The first year students visited COCA COLA on 3rd
March 2014
Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd, is one of India’s largest FMCG manufacturing and
distribution companies. It is responsible for the manufacture, package, sale and distribution of
beverages under the trademarks of The Coca-Cola Company. The Coca-Cola Company
trademarks, it also leads world class governance systems for the operations of all partners in
bottling, suppliers, distributors and other stakeholders.
THE SECOND YEAR STUDENTS VISITED VOLVO ON 4TH
APRIL 2014
The Volvo Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, construction
equipment and marine and industrial engines.
The brand portfolio consists of Volvo, Volvo Penta, UD, Terex Trucks, Renault Trucks, Prevost,
Nova bus and Mack. We partner in alliances and joint ventures with the SDLG, Eicher and
Dongfeng brands.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT REPORTS FOR THE YEAR 2014-15
FIRST YEAR STUDENTS VISITED VOLVO CONSTRUCTION COMPANY ON 13-08-
2014
I year BBA students were taken to Volvo Construction Company, Peenya on 13/8/14.
The Volvo Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, construction
equipment and marine and industrial engines.
The brand portfolio consists of Volvo, Volvo Penta, UD, Terex Trucks, Renault Trucks, Prevost,
Nova bus and Mack. We partner in alliances and joint ventures with the SDLG, Eicher and
Dongfeng brands.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO PRERANA PACKAGING INDUSTRY & ELEGANCE
EMBROIDERY-15/10/14
II year BBA students were taken to Prerana packaging industry, Navoday Packaging
industry on 15/10/14.
Prerana Packaging Industry was started in the year 2001. They started the business for the
purpose of packaging and printing. Girish Basappa’s father started GIRI PAPER PRODUCTS in
the year 1985 then it was later carried on by the above said person. Their primary component is
food packaging and they are one of the leading packaging industries in the city and they have the
direct tie up’s with customers and the packaging work is done for the companies like MTR,
Britania, Café Coffee Day, Adigas, Mayyas, etc. When the company was started they used to use
Brown Box for Packaging Purpose and later on White Duplex Board was used for the Packaging.
Where in this packaging is done for the best FOOD GRADE BOARD (ITC) which is an
ELEMENTARY CHLORINE FREE PACKAGING (ECF). Their investment is around 1.5
Crores and has a turnover of 3.5 Crores wherein they gain a profit of 20-25%. They have the pay
scale of 5000-15000 according to the Position of the employees. Prerana Packaging Industry has
a Financial Support of SYNDICATE BANK. They get the materials from DANDELI PAPER
MILL, TAMIL NADU, ANDRA PRADESH, etc.
NAVODAYA PACKAGING INDUSTRY is basically a Tissue Paper Manufacturing Industry
which manufacture products like Packaging Rolls, Tissues, Pharmaceutical Tissues, Toilet
Tissues, Tissue Towels, Paper Plates, Paper Bags, and Paper Napkins.
ELEGANCE EMBORIDERY INDUSTRY is basically a TEXTILE ORIENTED UNIT which
does the work for Home Furnishing like Curtains, Sofa Covers, etc. It was started in the year
2000. This embroidery work are done for the exporting purpose for countries like Europe, North
Asia. Pure silk fabric is used where in the designs are drawn by using WILCOM Software. Basic
cost of machine is around 25Lakhs and this machine has the capacity of stitching 4-5 Lakhs
stitches per day. From past 200 years hand embroidery is carried out but from recent years
Machine Embroidery is done.

Students of III BBA were taken to coca cola factory, Bidadi on 15/10/14.
Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd, is one of India’s largest FMCG manufacturing and
distribution companies. It is responsible for the manufacture, package, sale and distribution of
beverages under the trademarks of The Coca-Cola Company. The Company owns and operates
21 factories. It also sources from and supports 11 contract packers’ plants. A network of 4,000
distributors and over 1.9 million retail outlets distribute the high quality, great tasting beverages
manufactured by Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages.
The Coca-Cola Company trademarks, it also leads world class governance systems for the
operations of all partners in bottling, suppliers, distributors and other stakeholders.

Report On Visit to Bio-park
The Department of Environmental Science of Bangalore University was established in
1992 to mainstream the scientific methods and technologies related to Environmental Science in the
main curricula of the University. Incidentally the year 1992 was the Year of the UN Conference
known as the Rio Summit and Agenda 21 for Environmental Protection and Conservation.
Primary mission of the Department of Environmental Sciences is to impart
environmental knowledge to students and develop research and evaluation programmes. Towards
this end, the laboratory of the department has been provided with infrastructure facilities to meet the
requirement of water, air, soil and biological sample analysis. The Environmental Science laboratory
of Bangalore University is recognized under EPA (Environmental Protection Act), 1986 way back in
2002. Following this, the department is getting samples from various public and private
undertakings, Govt. agencies, etc. Standards protocols for the analysis of the samples have been
developed.
Our 3rd
Semester BBA Students were exposed to a host of fields during this visit such as
Environmental Biology, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Pollution, Biostatistics, Waste
Management, Remote Sensing and its applications, Natural Resource Management and Biodiversity,
Disaster Management, Environmental Energy, and Conservation at Bio-Park (Chakravana) and
Environmental Museum of Minerals & Rocks. This has enabled them to briefly understand the
environmental concepts. This visit was part of their curriculum “Science and Society”.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT REPORTS FOR THE YEAR 2016-17
VISIT TO RBI, BANGALORE ON 5/10/16
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is the central bank of the country. The Reserve Bank was established in
1935 by the Banking Regulation Act, 1934 with a capital of Rs. 5 cr. Initially the ownership of almost all
the shares capital was in the hands of non-government share holders. So in order to prevent the
centralization of the shares in few hands, the RBI was nationalized on January 1, 1949.
Our final year students got the opportunity to visit RBI, Nrupathanga road, Bangalore on 5/10/16. They
were familiarized to various functions of RBI like issue of notes, credit control, price stability, promotion
of economic growth etc. They gave a lecture on financial literacy to the students.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO K C DAS [L M FOODS] ON 21/2/17
Students of II year BBA went to K C Das a subsidiary of L M Foods. Students got the
opportunity to see manufacturing & packaging of sweets. The distribution channel was also
explained to them.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT REPORTS FOR THE YEAR 2017-18
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO BUILDTECH BIDADI INDUSTRIAL AREA, BANGALORE.
The students of II-BBA were taken to Buildtech on 31/10/2017 where the students were briefed
production & operation of PFC chamber plates. This was facilitated by our Alumnus Mr Dharan
Raj [BBM- 2014 Pass out] who owns the industry.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO SVP BOXES ON PEENYA, BANGALORE.
The students of III-BBA were taken to SVP Boxes on 31/10/2017where the students were
briefed about manufacturing of elastic packaging products.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO COLORFLEX, PEENYA, BANGALORE.
The students of I-BBA were taken to Colorflex on 4/11/2017 where the students were briefed
about manufacturing of plastic packaging products
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO B M ENGINEERING WORKS, PEENYA, BANGALORE.
The students of III-BBA were taken to B M engineering works, on 31/10/2017where the students
were briefed about manufacturing of elastic packaging products.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO SIRIDHANIYA FOODS PVT. LTD, MAGADI ROAD,
BANGALORE.
II Year BBA students went on an Industrial visit to Siridhaniya foods Pvt. Ltd, Magadi road,
Bangalore on 28-2-18.
Founded by Mr K R Nagesh it is the leading Wholegrain and Ready to Cook Food manufacturers
and suppliers. The rich variety offered by them includes Millets, Sorghum, Ragi and Ready to
Cook Millet Food like Millet Pongal Mix, Millet Upma Mix, Millet Rava and many more.
This visit was facilitated by our Alumnus Mr Nikhil R who is also the marketing manager of
Siridhaniya foods Pvt. Ltd
