“The Pearl of the Indian Ocean and Surfers paradise”

ISLAND MAURITIUS– TAMARIN BAY

Mauritius is a small tropical paradise located in the southwest of the Indian Ocean, northwest of

the island of Reunion and around 900 kilometers from Madagascar. It is a volcanic island,

surrounded by a barrier reef that gave origin to the white-sand beaches. It is famous for its

natural beauty, in addition of its excellent conditions for the practice of aquatic sports.

You can surf on the whole island, but the most well-known place to do so is Tamarin Bay. This

is a mythical surf spot, protected from the winds throughout the year. The wave of Tamarin Bay

is long and very nice, open both on the right and on the left, and the fund is rocky.

The best time to be in the water in Mauritius is between March and October, months during

which the swell and the prevailing winds make the beaches of the southwest a continuous

parade of waves. On the other hand, the water is at an average temperature of 28 degrees,

although it may reach 31.
