Armourcoat’s modular panel system ArmourFX has been specified by Double Retail to stunning effect at the new G-Shock store on London’s Carnaby Street.
The new flagshop concept store was designed to physically interpret the core values of the brand and clearly segment G-Shock’s extensive product range. Through careful use of lighting and materials, such as slate flooring, hot rolled steel surfaces and concrete wall panels from ArmourFX, the environment is an embodiment of G-Shock toughness.
The store has elevated this premium offering and created a versatile future-proof space adaptable for specific collections and product launches.
ArmourFX concrete effect panels are ideal for a deconstructed urban look for contemporary projects. The p anels offer a wealth of design options to achieve a distinctive industrial style including distressed effects or recessed ‘shutter’ markings.
Offsite construction is fast becoming the method of choice for both contractors and their clients with projects under tight deadlines for completion, or when it is impractical to work with ‘wet’ plastering trades on site. ArmourFX modular solutions can be highly customized to suit the client and are sent directly to site for Immediate installation.
The recently refurbished reception of 25 Copthall Avenue by QOB Interiors and John Robertson Architects for developer Helix, includes new floor to ceiling glass, contemporary signage, virtual daylight luminaries and a stunning 120m2 curved Armourcoat ‘KonCrete’ polished plaster wall to create a striking entrance.
The hand-applied Armourcoat polished plaster wall leads through into the transformed reception area, with a design feature that incorporates a custom stencil of the office address. The full height atrium floods light into the heart of the building creating a bright, spacious environment with a business lounge and in-house café.Armourcoat ‘KonCrete’ is an urban range
of polished plaster colours and finishes designed for contemporary projects. The range offers a wealth of design options to achieve a distinctive modern look, including distressed effects or recessed ‘shutter’ markings.

Armourcoat have secured another important vendor contract for Choice Hotels International Inc. in America with their modular panel brand ArmourFX.
Following an initial design collaboration in 2013 with close to 2,000 Welcome Wall panels created for Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites, ArmourFX has been subsequently appointed to create wall-mounted media panels for televisions in Sleep Inn and MainStay Suites guest bedrooms.
The latest contract won is for Econo Lodge hotels, the second largest group within the portfolio with 830 hotels in the USA and a further 28 in development. A branded logo panel will be created in an Armourcoat Travertine stone finish with recessed logo to feature behind the front desk area in each hotel.

Armourcoat exhibited at the Decorex International Exhibition in September. Taking place at the start of the London Design Festival in the grounds of historic Syon House, Decorex is synonymous with luxury design offering a collection of over 400 handselected exhibitors.
Armourcoat presented a stunning range of hand applied polished plaster wall finishes and the latest additions to its renowned Signature Collection. The company also launched their new Armourcoat Acoustic Plaster System designed to optimise the acoustics of interior spaces.
From large theatre halls, offices, classrooms, hotel receptions and private residences the use of hard sound reflective surfaces such as glass, wood and stone can cause excessive sound reverberation which leads to unpleasant noise levels. The Armourcoat Acoustic Plaster System offers a clean and smooth mineral surface that can be applied seamlessly over large expanses to both flat and curved surfaces. The correct control of sound will create a calmer and more pleasant environment.
Comprising of a special mineral wool composite panel that is bonded onto the substrate and finished with a seamless layer, the Armourcoat Acoustic Plaster System offers an elegant marble based plaster finish while allowing sound energy to pass through the surface. The zero VOC system, which consists of 80% recycled material, achieves class ‘0’ fire rating and a class ‘A’ Noise Reduction Coefficient rating.
