This question shows that I will be targeting a mixed audience, although predominantly female. This could however be a biased result, as I may have sent the survey out to more females than males.

I only asked people that were over 21 to answer my survey, as I knew I wanted my target audience to be over 21, as you can see the majority of my target audience is aged between 21-30, therefore I will target my film more towards this audience. This will help me as I will be able to see what my target age group like in terms of genre, consumption, and actual films that they like.

I asked my target audience how often they go to the ciunema

I asked ‘what is your favourite film genre?’ as you can see 43% of people answered comedy, this will really influence the kind of short film I make, and I think I will include some comedic aspects to the film even if it is not that genre.

As you can see in my previous question, comedy was a very popular genre of film. One person has said ‘its easy to watch and mocks reality’ and people generally say they feel more involved in a comedy film, and comedy films make them laugh. As comedy was such a popular choice for my target audience I think I am going to make a comedy film.

Finally I asked people what their favourite film was, and the reasons why people liked it. Reasons fore people liking certain films were the actors used, good/intriguing storylines, and funny films. I will take into account these results when planning and creating my short film, by ensuring I use the best possible actor, and writing quite an interesting narrative
